"What if we ran away?" Chat asked while messing with one of the plants on her balcony, where both of them currently were.
"What do you mean?" Marinette asked from her spot in the chair, looking up at him.
"Like, if we just left and didn't come back," he turned to look at her. Because of the fading sunlight, she couldn't see his face and couldn't tell if he was joking or not.
"Chat you know I can't do that. I have to finish school and my parents need my help in the bakery." She stood up and walked over to him, "I know you've had some hard times but that's no reason to run away."
"You're always complaining about how Chloe is mean to you, I don't understand why you don't want to go." He looked hurt but there was nothing she could do to fix that.
"I'm so sorry but I don't know how to explain it but I can't just pack up a bag and leave." Shook her head and stepped away from him, "I'm sorry Chat."
He turned away from her, "It was just a 'what if' anyway, nothing serious." His voice was hurt but she could tell in his voice that it was serious. He really had or still is, planning to run away.
