A/n: Wrote today in recognition of the anniversary of The Battle Of Hogwarts.

Hermione walked behind Harry and Ron as they entered the Room of Requirement with Neville. People looked shocked at first and then claps emerged as the Golden Trio climbed down from the painting. Hermione smiled and hugged many of the people that she hadn't seen in almost a year, since she walked out on everything. She looked around for the one person she had been dying to see. He wasn't there. He promised he would change. Even seeing him at Malfoy Manor while she was being tortured, Draco Malfoy was not evil and Hermione knew that more than anyone else.

She had known since Fourth Year. The year she fell in love with her enemy.

*Flashback*

She was crying, a lot. Ron had ruined the whole Yule Ball for her and Viktor wasn't in sight. She wasn't just upset with Ron. She was furious. As Hermione ferociously wiped her tears, she heard someone walking over to her. "Ron, if you're hear to say sorry then- Malfoy? What do you want?" She snapped at him. She didn't mean to of course but her emotions were sky high right now and she really wanted to be alone.

"You're crying." Draco spoke softly. Hermione glared at him as she looked away from him "Well spotted Malfoy. Go ahead, make fun of me. Look at the mudblood crying. What a pathetic excuse of space-" Hermione started but was cut off by Draco "Stop it Hermione." He said quickly. Hermione's head whipped around to look at him. He had called her by her first name. Not Mudblood, Not Granger. Draco held out his hand. "Walk with me." He said softly. And Hermione didn't know quite why she did this but she took his hand and the two walked away from the castle in their dress robes.

Once they had reached a far enough distance that the music was dim and not much could be heard, Draco started to speak. "You know... You look amazing today. You shocked the whole school." He said. Hermione stared at him in confusion. "Why are you being nice to me? What happened to the filthy little mudblood?" She asked, looking at him as they sat down on a bench near the lake. Draco sighed and looked down. "That's not me. That's the version of me that everyone else wants me to be." He mumbled.

They sat in silence for a couple more minutes. Then Hermione looked at him and sighed "Mal- Draco. Why now?" She asked. "Why reveal that you're good. If you even are." She asked. Draco shrugged "I saw you alone and thought that I should talk to you. I don't want people judging either of us." He said simply. And that's how they continued for the rest of the evening.

Hermione heard the clock chime. It was officially Christmas. She turned to the misunderstood boy next to her and smiled "Merry Christmas Draco." She smiled. Draco turned to her and leaned over before pecking a kiss onto her lips and smiling "Merry Christmas Hermione." He mumbled, looking at her.

*End Of Flashback*

And that had been the start of it all. Draco and Hermione would meet up in secret once a week which later turned into twice and then three times a week. They started officially dating at the very beginning of their Fifth Year. She knew everything. She knew about his plans to kill Dumbledore and tried to get him some help but she knew what he had to do to keep his family alive. The last meeting before she went on the run hadn't been pleasant. He was supposed to meet her in the Library as they always had a hundred times before. They had a special spot that no one ever came looking into and it let them relax together.

He had gone to kill Dumbledore. But he failed and Snape did it anyway. She then saw him in the Manor when she was tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange. His face was white as snow as he watched the girl he loved going through it all.
