Chapter Eleven - Akiko

Ukiyo was right. We had better start training more intensely than ever. I went up by about five more levels, while Ukiyo, Hoshi, Kaori and Takumi did the same. We each also bought new weapons again in preparation for the impending boss fight. Sure enough, the very next day, the news that the first boss had been found travelled like wildfire, to the one thousand players trapped in this deadly game.

We will be the first to take it down.

Our guild made our way to the cave where the boss was rumoured to be.

There was already a crowd at the cave. I was just about to enter when a familiar mop of frizzy black hair caught my eye.

Siyuki!

Siyuki Sanao was a girl that never really fitted in at my previous school, with average looks and a guarded personality. But in the end, we became quite good friends, although we still had disagreements. She was a nice person, valuing friendship and loyalty above anything else. Knowing her, she's probably even sacrifice her life for her friends. Wait, who was that girl next to her?

They were chatting animatedly, and I felt glad that Siyuki has found someone.

I went over to Siyuki and a smile found its way onto her lips. She grinned, "Akiko-chan! Nice to see you-wait, no-sad to see you trapped in this game as well."

I hugged her tightly and felt her squeezing my ribs. I laughed, "Hey Siyuki! Don't hug me so tight. My HP might decrease."

I glanced at the girl beside Siyuki. "Who is she?"

She was pretty, maybe even as pretty as Ukiyo. Her hairdo brought out a mysterious aura around her. Her silvery eyes flicked to my honey golden orbs before she hastily looked away. Strange.
