Chapter Fourteen - Akiko

I raised Deraito, my sword, and yelled. "HAIIIIIIII!"

Ukiyo turned to stare at me, asking, "This monster wants to kill you, and you're saying hi to it?"

Jeimi heard and tried her best to stifle a snort.

"BOKE [dumbass]!!!!! It's my battle cry!"

Ukiyo nodded, saying, "Suuuuuure."

We looked at each other, nodding once, before we ran off to completely destroy the boss.

Slash after slash, we had the boss down to 35 hit points in a matter of seconds.

With a swipe of its huge mace, I was flung onto the ground. My health bar dropped into the orange zone.

"AAAHH!" I yelled in pain. Seeing that, Kaori dashed forward, digging out a healing crystal, yelling, "Akiko! NO YOU CAN'T DIE!"

He knelt beside me, tears forming salty streams dripping down his refined cheekbones. However, I did not notice that a very jealous Namiko had crept up behind me, wielding her dagger with a menacing look on her face.

"AKIKO! WATCH OUT!" Siyuki screamed.

I turned, horrified, and saw the dagger sink into my chest. I felt my life slowly slipping away as Namiko wrenched the blade in further. The green icon above her had turned orange.

My life continued dropping until... I blacked out. Was this death...?

Suddenly, the dagger was yanked out and flung away by a furious Siyuki. "YOU WON'T F*%#%NG GET AWAY WITH THIS!"

"Well, I thought she would have died. The Cloak of Midnight now belongs to ME!"

"NEVER, B*TCH!" Siyuki screamed and dashed forward, swinging her sword wildly at the boss.

"No!" Ukiyo shouted at Siyuki. "It's not safe!"

"Then why are you fighting it?" Siyuki shouted at Ukiyo, whose quiet demeanour had pissed her off.

Siyuki dashed forward anyway, sword swinging up to clash against the beast's mace, the exact same move Ukiyo had pulled off moments earlier. Except this time, the mace completely crushed her. Siyuki gasped, before dissolving into green pixels which faded away.

The first casualty of this sick game.
