Chapter Thirteen - Ukiyo

"Oh, this is Jeimi. Jeimi Oshikko," I heard the girl named Siyuki say. I merely nodded and flashed them a small smile.

"We'd better hurry if you want that Cloak of Midnight," I reminded Akiko.

"Oya!" She hurriedly dashed into the cave. "I WANT THAT CLOAKKKKK!"

"MICHIKO AKIKO HEY WAIT FOR US IT'S DANGEROUS!" I yelled.

But, with her speed and agility, she soon disappeared out of sight. Damn that sprinter.

Suddenly, a voice made me screech to a halt. "You were saying?" Akiko raised an eyebrow, twirling her sword as two huge monsters crumbled into green pieces and disappeared.

"This is the entrance to the boss lair. We better get going."

Siyuki spoke up, "We are out of time. I can hear the next group coming already. We just have to hope we land the last hit."

I nodded and sprinted into the awaiting dark area. What Siyuki and Jeimi didn't know was that my level and Akiko's level was far ahead of theirs, and we could definitely get the Cloak of Midnight for Akiko. Her speed and sword-wielding agility was unmatched in the whole of SAO and my strength greatly exceeded even those who only upgraded their strength stats. Together, we are invincible.

As if on cue, the area lit up, showing the monstrous beast. Kaori, Hoshi and Takumi ran in together with a bunch of other people.

"OH MAI GOODNESS AKIKO I'm so glad we found you and Ukiyo before you tried to take on the boss." Kaori breathed a sigh of relief.

Hoshi drew out his sword. "We heard you wanted the Cloak of Midnight, so we're here to help! If any one of us gets it, we'll give it to you."

I shook my head at their ignorance. If only they knew how good Akiko and I really were.
