I did technically try, sooo, yea. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 has come out! I'm so pumped! Wooooooo! Hope you like it!(This is from Ryan's POV)
My skateboard was making some echoing sounds on the cement that could be heard from 3-4 blocks down. I'd have to walk some of the distance to Harper Industries if I didn't want to be noticed. I could only hear my heavy breathing, a cat that knocked a garbage can down, and, well. Actually, to be honest it was only those two sounds. Kind of nerve racking, really.
I could see the building where my mom was in the distance now. Harper was soooo gonna wish he hadn't tried to blackmail me! He didn't even know I was gonna rescue my mom instead of turning myself in! Does he really expect that I would just turn myself in? Who would even do that? That seems pretty stupid to be honest. Whoever does things like that must be an idiot!
I got off my skateboard so that the outside guards wouldn't hear me and walked for a few more blocks. Once close enough, I hid in a bush where I would leave my skateboard so i'd have a getaway escape 'car'. Actually, mom wouldn't fit with me on it, never mind I'll just have to use her vehicle.
"Get ready! The kid could be turning himself in at any second!"
Wow, they really do expect me to turn myself in. Do they really think that I would just turn myself in?!? I'm seriously starting to judge Harper's 'brain power' now, because that really seems like the weirdest thing to just expect someone to turn them self in!
I snuck in behind a guard as he went in a side door on the south side of the building. Supposedly, mom was supposed to be on the north side, but there was no time to go all the way around now to the other side. I think it's safe to guess that she'll be on one of the lower levels since Harper was trying to blackmail me by keeping her here.
I found the stairs and looked down to see that it was a long ways to the underground facilities. As I walked down, I passed by a few guards and a lot of doors. When I reached the bottom, i saw Harper's... storage closet? What? Why would he only have a small storage closet on the bottom floor! Uhhg, oh course Harper would want me to think that mom is being held at the bottom-most floor as if in a dungeon.
I leaned against a area of the wall not covered in stuff and began to rub my face with my fingers ridiculing myself on how stupid I was on thinking that mom was down here. I saw one of Harper's new inventions he had publicized a while ago, but when I grabbed it, a resounding click sounded throughout the room and up the echoey stairs. Where I was leaning just a second ago was an opening in the wall as a section of the wall pulled out like a door.
"Robert! What did I say about going where your patrol doesn't take you at night? Especially when we're waiting for the Boss's guest! ... Soldier? ANSWER ME!!!"
