Mech x4: The Way of the Technopath

CH:2- Let's Get Leo!

Hi guys, in this chapter after the time skip, when Ryan talking or thinking the text will not be bolded, and when the mastermind is talking the text will be bolded. Enjoy! Also, WARNING: SPOILERS FROM NOW ON UNTIL THE END OF TIME!

"I've found his location, Ryan!"

"Alright, let's go get Leo!"

-time skip to Ryan releasing Leo- (from now on it's in Ryan's POV)

I walked into the room after opening the door with my technopath abilities. Leo definitely looked beaten up... but that's no surprise since his captor was, well, probably insane.

"OK buddy, let's get you out of here."

I released his bonds, from which he fell immediately. But out of nowhere, I heard a voice. I turned to the wall to see a screen with a voice volume translator (that's what I'm calling his voice thing anyways).

"You knocked out my cameras, but I know someone is there... who are you?"

All I did was stare in silence as the underwater complex became more and more unstable.

"You must be the technopath..."

"...I guess, I'll never know who you are. But it doesn't matter, cause you'll never get out of here alive, and you will never stop me."

That was my breaking point, like heck I would allow him to get away with the destruction of the world. Suddenly, an idea popped into my head, and I decided to follow the voice with my powers.

"No! We will stop you! I know who you are... Harper! And we will stop you!

"No, I don't think you will. Oh, and by the way, thank you for talking so that I can trace your voice to find out who you are. It's too bad you did the same thing, but I got what I wanted. Good luck getting out of here in half a minute."

At that point, the screen changed to a timer of 30 seconds, but soon after changed to an automatic timer for the destruction of the complex to destroy it early. Wow, does he want me dead that much? I helped Leo run to one of the hatches with me and we barely escaped with the help of those watches that Harris made.

Behind me the building exploded, blasting me and Leo closer to mech x4. Shrapnel blasted everywhere. Somehow, with the shield already damaged on the watch, a large piece hit me on my right shoulder.

I tried to move my arm, but I couldn't. No matter what Leo had to get to safety, but I couldn't do it alone. I began to talk into my watch with what power it had left...

"Mark, Spyder, someone! Pull us in, I..."

That large piece of shrapnel took too much of my strength, and I passed out from exhaustion.
