Uneasy

There has been a wars against angels and demons for centuries but resently the dark angels have joined the demons, everyone that know about the war is on edge. Well everyone accept me. And that brings us to me. Who am I? Well my name is Lyra but in this world I go by Lilly Davison. Now that that's out of the way you are probably wondering why I don't care about the war. That's easy I got kicked to the curve for no good reason and now the only explanation to why I'm wanted is so they can use me. No thank you. So now I live a amongst you humans as a graphic designer. And I'm late for work.

I'm running late for work, it's raining, I forgot my umbrella and I'm half way done with my project. I can already tell this is going to be a great day. And yes I'm being facetious. I need coffee it's going to be a long day. So I ran into the coffee shop, cafe coffee, to get my regular and dry off a little bit on my way to work. It's nice little shop with light green walls, wooden floors, and tables meant for two. There's a long counter with displays of the food on either end. John, the manager, and a cashier is standing at the front of the counter.

"Hi Jonh. Can I have my usual? I'm running late."

"Coming right up." I smile as I wait and look around the room.

"Hey why is it so empty?"

"I don't know. You're my fourth coustmer today."

"Thats weird." He hands my regular and I pay. The shop being empty was really unsettling, it's a very popular coffee shop. It is usually packed.
"Thank you so much, see you soon." I say as I walk out the cafe. After I saw that the coffee shop empty, that's when I realized I was walking through a ghost town. There's no one in the streets. No cars on the road. I don't know the whether something else, all I knew is that I had a very uneasy feeling. When I got to work it wasn't much better. There is few people in the building. Was there like a hurricane that I was supposed to evacuate for and just wasn't told.

"Hi Lilly." The second I heard the vocie my head wipped around and I saw my boss smiling. "Glad you're hear."

"Hi Mr. Williams." I'm so relieved he was there he probably is going on. "Where is everyone? Was there an employee skip day wasn't aware of?"

"Not to my knowledge. It is strange though I'm not seeing very many people out today. Better not waste a day of work. Get started." Great there's no one hear, I'm freaked out and I have to work. Yay. I'm bright side I get to work in peace.

The rested of the day went by pretty fast. Before I knew it was time to leave. So packed up my stuff and headed home. The streets aren't much better on the way home but I got this feeling that somebody's watching me. Somebody has been watching me. So I sped up my pace and got to my apartment. Once I was there leaned against the door. I'm so happy that it was over. It was a weird day.

Woke up the next morning on time, with a good breakfast and all my work done. The day was looking to be a pretty good. I was wearing black tang-top with a green sweeter on top with dark Jeans, black convers and long beigh rain coat.When I got out of the apartment I saw it was a sunny day. As I walked I saw lots of people's smiling faces. I decided to forget the day that was yesterday. How to say coffee shop and it was part of the usual. As it should be. Wait in line to get my usual paid and left. As I was walking to the door I thanked Jonh and when I turned around I crashed into someone. When I look to see who I smashed into I saw a handsome man that was well dressed in a business suit. Luckly I didn't spill my drink all over him. "I'm sorry." I laughed at my clumsiness.

"No it's fine. It's probably my fault anyway." He reassured me with a smile. He had high cheek bones and dark brown hair that complimented his bright smile. I made my way to look into his eyes expression dropped. I apologized again and rushed out the door. Now you're probably thinking why would you rush out the door after you met a handsome guy and you're early for work. Well you see angels have different eyes. You can't see it but they do. Angels have this ring around their pupil for light angels it's a glow in white ring and for dark angels it's a red ring. And he had a red ring. I should suspected he was an angel because he was handsome. All angels are. They're the most beautiful people to grace the earth.

I hoped he didn't see my eyes as I practically sprinted down the street. I almost tripped when I heard him calling out to me. I was considering calling a cab but I turned around to see that he was running at me with something in his hand. I stopped and waited for him to reach me. I was going to pretend I was running late for work. Once he reached me he handed me a wallet. My wallet.

"You dropped this." He puffed.

"Thanks. Bye." I took my wallet avoiding eye contact and turned to walk away when he stopped me again.

"Why were you running?" He questioned inocccently but is probably stalling or trying to make small take to inform others.

"Because I'm late for work." I said like I was in a rush and then hurried down the street. As I walked past the building before mine I bumped into someone again. Wow I'm clumsy. Good job Lyra your really amazing at crashing in to innocent people. The person I hit was a young women whose papers went flying the second we colided. "Sorry." I dropped to my knees to help her.

"It's okay. I'm just going to be late." She teased. Still picking up papers.

"Me too." I looked up to hand her the papers and my smile fell. I didn't have to look into her eyes to tell she was an angel. I knew her. Her name was Elizabeth.We were distant friends she had jet black hair, light brown eyes and pale skin.

"I'm sure they won't mind if your late, Lyra." She said reassuringly with a wicked grin.

"Yes they will. Bye." I stood up quickly starting to walk away. But there was a line of people blocking my path. A whole line angels.
