Chapter 10: Connor

Louis’ POV

All of us are walking out the water, smiling at Kimmy and Meaghan hugging each other, when we hear a boy calling Meaghan’s name. Her smile fell as she growled something to Kimmy and walked towards the boy. He was wearing a black singlet and red boardies, his short, curly hair didn’t move in the breeze. He was a bit stocky, but you could tell he worked out.

Meaghan stomped up to him and started to whisper to him angrily. He looks behind her, and sees the boys, Harry was holding Zara back, and she looked mighty pissed at this boy. Kimmy and Tayla looked angry as well, but they stood glaring at the boy.

 “What do you want?” Meaghan snarled at him. It would be funny but I didn’t know what was going on, neither did the boys or Danielle.

“Well you didn’t give me an answer in my last call, so I called your mum asking where you were…” the boy replied. Meaghan was clenching her hand into fists. I went up to her and put my hand on her shoulder.

“Come on Meaghan, we’re going, some of us need our driver.” She smiled as I pulled her arm towards the group.

“What’s this? Got a dick now have we? Never thought you would go for an ugly guy.” Meaghan jerked her hand out of mine and walked back to him. I started to get angry before Kimmy grabbed my shoulder.

“Trust me, Meaghan knows how to deal with him.” She says as Zayn and Liam drag me back to where everyone else was.

“No Connor, he’s a friend. And anyway, he’s not ugly. He’s way better looking than you.” Everyone starts watching the two. Connor… Meaghan’s ex. The name reminds me of the conversation we had last night.

“Meaghan, come to think of it… all of the group of people behind you will be willing to get into your pants, including the girls. But I don’t think I want to get into your pants anymore. You’re nothing but the superior of the ugly.” He smiled as he turned to walk away.

But what happened next surprised everyone.

Meaghan’s POV

Connor starts to walk away, but saying that about my friends I wasn’t going to let him get away with it. I grab his shoulder, turned him around and punched him smack bang in the nose.

He cowers away from me, his nose bleeding. “What the fuck?” I march towards him, meaning every word I said next.

“How dare you insult my friends, and my cousin in front of me. You can insult me all you want, I’m over you! You are such an asshole! You think because you can’t get in my pants, you can insult the people around me. I am warning you now, stay the fuck away from me, don’t talk to me in anyway. I told you when I dumped you to leave me alone. But do you listen? No. I hope punching you in the face has broadened you view about me.” I turn and walk away from Connor.

Everyone looked shocked at me except for Zara.

“Well I think that’s the first time a girl has said no to him and socked him. His face is priceless!” she grins at me. We’ve both been in the same position with Connor; both found him cheating on us at a party. I shake my head as I start to laugh.

“Come on, let’s go home.” As we walk back, Louis puts his arm around me. I look at him, his smile making me melt inside, but I didn’t think anything would happen between us.

“You right there Boo Bear?” He pouts at me, and then ruffles my semi-wet hair.

“Good job of your ex. Now I know not to get on your bad side.” We both laugh as we walked up to my dad’s car. I knocked on the driver’s window, as he was reading. He looks up and rolls down the window.
