Chapter 13: Kiss, Drowned Rat and Twitter Hate

Meaghan’s POV

I go to the head of the boat and hold the rail at the tip. My hair flies behind as we speed towards the destination. My loose cobalt blue singlet whips around my body. I feel the spray of the seawater on my face, and could see some drops on my red ray bans.  I feel somebody stand next to me. I look and see Louis looking at me.

“Take a picture; it’ll last longer Lou.” I say with a smile. He smiles at me whilst nudging my shoulder.

“Weirdo.” I shake my head at him. I look at him again and ask him “Why are you out here Boo Bear?”

“Maybe I want to spend some quality time with you.” He says with a chuckle. I push him, making him land on his back, except he pulled me down with him.

“Now that, Meaghan is what you call rude.” He says with a huff. I was on top of him. I give him the finger.” He wraps his arms around me and hugs me. I felt safe in his arms; I didn’t want him to leave me. I snuggle my head in his chest, feeling his heartbeat     against my ear. Louis starts playing with my hair. I take my head out of his chest and look at him with one eyebrow raised. He chuckles.

“You look so cute when you do that.” He smirks when I give him a glare.

“How many times do I tell you that me and cute do not go in the same sentence?” I ask.

“Too many. But I love stirring you.” He looks into my eyes; the fear of heartbreak disappearing from my body. His blue eyes were mesmerising. He slowly lifts both of us into a sitting position, staring at me the whole time. He leans in closely, but has a questioning look on his face. I lean in and our lips touch.

Louis’ POV

Touching Meaghan’s lips for the first time made something stir inside me. It wasn’t sexual, it came from the heart. Our mouths moved slowly in sync, sparks igniting every second.

She pulled away slowly with a smile on her face. I smile back at her, pushing a strand of hair away from her face. Meaghan stands up and offers her hand. I accept it and she helps me stand up, our bodies close. She is quite strong; she beat Niall and Harry in an arm wrestle a couple days before. We kiss again before she wraps her arms around my waist as I did the same. We stood like that for a long time.

Zara and Kimmy came out from the back looking for the both of us. Meaghan and I release each other when Zara coughed. Meaghan looks at the girls and shrugged her shoulders. Kimmy and Zara smirked at her before turning towards the back of the boat.

“About fucking time though!” Zara shouted. Kimmy looked back at us.

“You guys coming to have some refreshments?” Meaghan and I nod. I take her hand and guide her towards where everyone else was relaxing.
