The cover was really eye-catching, and very well done. I would definitely check out the book if I saw it. I personally think the cover slightly doesn't fit the book, and seems more fit for a vampire story, but that is just my opinion. Otherwise it is very good!
Summary: 9/10
The summary is short and not overbearing, and gives enough information to intrigue the reader. The choice of quote was excellent. It was a very good summary of the plot.
Punctuation: 9/10
The punctuation was very good. There were no major flaws that took away from the overall flow of the book and the chapters. The sentences had a very nice flow, and the action scenes are well-done. I do recommend proof-reading because some sentences were a bit awkward, but not so much that it really effected my experience. I also liked how you kept the present-tense view constant throughout.
Plot: 9/10
The plot was incredibly intriguing. This is the first time I've read a book about gangs/gang violence, and I enjoyed it. At first I was a bit apprehensive, but the plot twist was exciting and added to the drama of the story.
Characters: 8/10
The characters are very well done, and I definitely saw a little growth and development with Ava over the course of what you have written. The characters' personalities all stayed pretty consistant throughout, and the personalities were all well-defined. I would maybe add a bit more back story to some of the characters, but it was all very well-done.
First Paragraph: 10/10
The first paragraph throws you immediately into the action and keeps the reader's attention because they want to see how it plays out. I definitely wanted to see how everything ended up.
Overall: 9/10
The story was very enjoyable overall! The chapters weren't too overly long so the story kept moving even when the chapter wasn't as action-packed. I recommend adding a bit more description of the settings since the story jumps from one to the other quickly and it is sometimes hard to keep track of. The characters were relatable and interesting. I really enjoyed it, keep up the good work!
