After school, I walked towards Ashton's motorcycle, getting a few strange glances here and there. I mean, it's not that weird. I guess I'm just not memorable, considering my own brother is friends with the prince and the king.Like seriously, am I invisible or something?
I groaned quietly before grabbing the helmet from Ashton. "Let's get the fuck out of here."
Ashton chuckled lightly, "Yes, ma'am."
The ride to Ashton's house was short. We were going too fast to take in the scene, so I was disappointed if not holding on for dear life.
I walked into the house and let Ashton guide me back to the room I was in before.
"You can just leave the clothes on the counter."
"Cool. Oh, and thanks for..."
"Yeah, no problem."
For a minute, we both stood there, staring into each other's eyes.
The silence was comfortable but also unnerving.
I wonder what he's thinking about.
"Come swimming."
"Swimming?"
Ashton stared.
"Like with you? In the ocean? With you?" I clarified
Ashton laughed, leaning into the doorframe. "Got it all figured out, don't you?"
I laughed nervously and looked down at the clothes he let me borrow.
It's been 24 hours, and it feels like the whole world has changed.
"Yeah, I'll get changed."
"Cool. Do you like, want something to eat first?"
That's it, I'm losing it.
"Sandwich. Ham, cheese, that's it. Thanks, bye."
I shut the door in his face and heard his laugh from the other side. My cheeks burned as I let out a breath I was holding in.
What is this? A Wattpad?
I looked back at the room and shook my head.
Time to go swimming with Ashton King. Yay.
I slipped on my bathing suit and wrapped my brown shawl from yesterday around me before leaving the room.
The floor was cold, and I could hear my feet pad against it. I didn't really know where I was going but straight seemed like a good enough answer.
My guess was right because I came across Ashton making two sandwiches and a smoothie.
Ashton looked up and pointed his hand with a knife in it. "Your sandwich is right there. I didn't know if you wanted a smoothie, so you can have some of mine if you want. It's white chocolate raspberry."
"Wow. That sounds fire. Don't mind if I do," I earnestly replied.
I grabbed the clear cup and took a bite of the sandwich, washing it down with the liquid gold in my hand.
"Oh yeah, I can die happy."
Ashton laughed and took the drink out of my hand, "Don't drink it all, Thena."
Thena.
He called me that at lunch too.
I decided to test the waters.
"You don't tell me what to do, Ash."
Ashton looked into my eyes before rolling his.
I guess it's just not that deep.
