I woke up the next day at 2 in the afternoon, Nirvana blasting through the house. At least I wake up to quality music.
I walked downstairs and entered the kitchen. My sister Cassius was making food.
"Hey, Cass."
My sister looked up behind her shoulder before focusing back on the dish.
"Hey, sis. Fun night?"
"Eventful, that's for sure."
"Ethan said you put a bitch in her place."
I laughed slyly, "Yeah, after she poured her drink on me."
Cassius threw me a questioned look, "And you didn't beat her ass because why?"
"Because 1. Violence isn't always the answer, only when you wake up and choose it, and 2. Because it was Michelle."
"I always hated that girl. Her poor brother would come running to our house all the time because of her."
"What did she even do to him."
"You don't remember? She literally tried to set him on fire. She's fucking crazy!"
I gaped, "At age ten, she was already a convicted arsonist?"
"Hardly convicted if you ask me. Apparently, her parents told her not to do it again, and they'd buy her a horse."
"Did they?"
"Why do you think they own so much land? They have a whole fucking ranch."
"Damn. I'd say that's smart if it wasn't spoiled."
"No kidding."
Ethan tumbled down the stairs and sat in the chair next to me.
"Sup E-whore."
"No."
I laughed.
"Hungover much?"
"A bitch much?"
Cassius laughed, "How do you throw up three times and then blast Nirvana through the house."
"Yeah, seriously. Play a king for a day next, though," I added.
"Oh yeah, that's a good one," Cass agreed.
Ethan groaned and flipped his finger, "Do it yourself. I'm dying."
I patted Ethan on the back and grabbed a bottle of water for both of us.
Cass set a plate of food in front of me, and immediately I dug in.
"Mmm, the best cook in the world."
"Actually. That's something I've been meaning to mention. I was thinking of opening my own restaurant."
"Cass! That's such a good idea. Your food is so innovative I swear you could be a competitor in food wars."
Cass laughed as she washed her dishes.
"I appreciate it. I was thinking of calling it Willows."
"The name mom wanted."
"She always wanted to open her own place. I thought I might honor her."
"It's perfect," Ethan slurred before running to the bathroom.
"Next time you're supervising." Cass pointed.
I looked at my phone and noticed a message.
A.K: "Hey Thena, how you feeling?"
A.J: "Not like death, thankfully."
