I sat at my desk and lightly coated my eyelashes with mascara and my lips with gloss. My makeup looked great, and the black strappy shirt over ripped black skinny jeans I chose hugged me perfectly.
There's no denying I hate socialite/social activity. It's exhausting, arbitrary, and really fucking stupid. That said, I'm only a girl, and I like dressing up and feeling like I look good. I'm also in my youth, so the ideal definition of fun was getting wrecked.
I'm more of a moderate indulger, but every once in a while, viva La loca.
I checked the time on my phone, 10:45, as a text message from an unknown number popped up.
(Xxx)-: "Hey Thena."
A.J: "Who's this?"
(Xxx)-: "The only person you dream about."
A.J: "Ew, Ashton. Get a grip."
A.K: "I mean, you knew who I was so..."
A.J: "That's bc you're the only one disgusting and presumptuous enough to say something like that."
A.K: "Alright, smart ass, wyd tn."
A.J: "Party at Kaydens, you?"
Typing
A.K: "I'll see you there, Thena."
I threw my phone on my bed and put on a pair of black leather platform doll shoes adorned with three hearts before making my way across the hall and knocking on my brother's door.
"Ethan, did you, by any chance, give Ashton King my number."
My brother looked up at me and gave me a nervous side glance.
"It's not that big a deal."
"You do realize he's hitting on me?"
Ethan spun around in his chair.
"Well, he is a pretty cool guy."
I grabbed a pillow off his bed and threw it at him.
"You're gross, weird, sick in the head, and all of the above!"
"Yeah, whatever. You're going to Kayden's party, right? Since you're dressed like a whore."
"Dude slut shaming is like so 18th century."
"You're not a slut, you're my sister. I can call you whatever I want."
"I bet you have a small dick." I seethed.
"Ew, Athena. That's just. Don't even go there. Just leave." He sighed as he buried his face in his hand and shooed me away with the other.
"You're just mad because it's true. I'll see you at Kayden's. Kaylene is going to be there, by the way."
Ethan peered out from his hands and eyed me.
"For real?"
"Yes, for real. She's on her way here with Daniel right now."
"Well, shit. Let me call Blake and Carter, and I'll get the fuck out of here."
"Going to see her?"
"Nah, I need that careless I've been here for a while moment to catch her eye."
"That sounds real... Episodey."
"There's no male POVs, so I wouldn't know."
"The fact that you know that says it all."
