Chapter 2:

Taislen’s P.O.V.

After being caught up into some serious trouble, the boys and I got a call from their father. He told them to come home and they would be safe for as long as they wanted. Not wanting to die just yet we all agreed to go.

We live in the U.K. and have the largest gang in the country. A couple of months before, Jago, one of the guys, found a girl at a club and of course banged her. What we didn’t know was that she was the girlfriend of one of the guys in the 5th largest gang in the U.S. We may be the biggest gang in the U.K. but we aren’t as big as the ones in the U.S. For about 3 months there has been a war between our two gangs, and we have lost quite a lot of men. The plan was to just hide it out, but I think staying with the guys’ father seems a lot safer.

When we got to New York, I felt a little excited. I had never been to New York and being from the U.K. everything amazed me. It took us an hour to get to the apartment that the boys’ father said we would be staying at. The boys didn’t give me any details about what was going on, but they seemed really excited.

Before Z put the car into park, they all were out of the car and running to the door. What’s got them in such a good mood? From what I’ve heard, they aren’t on very good terms with their father. Gosh, they’re acting more like teenagers than gang members. I mean, I’m not the leader, Z is, but I am 2nd in command.

I had just gotten out of the car when a girl came out of the same door that the guys had ran into. She came down the stairs, went into her car and sped off.

She was about 5’ 5”. She wasn’t pale, but she wasn’t very dark as well. She had long wavy brown hair. Though she was in just a shirt and sweats, you could tell that she had a very curvy body. I don’t think she even noticed I was there, let a lone staring at her.

Shutting the car door I walked into the building and climbed the stairs. I walked through the door without bothering to knock. The boys were just starring at an empty spot in the room. What the hell is wrong with them? Looking around the room I noticed a girl with black hair and pale skin. She seemed like she was about 5’ 3”. She had a slight frown on her face. I also noticed a guy that looked to be in his late 30’s. Probably the guys’ father. He was the only one in the room that didn't look shocked or confused.

“Is everything alright?” I asked to no one in particular.

After I said that, everyone seemed to snap out of whatever daze they were in.

“No. Something isn’t right,” Calix said sounding confused. Looking at his dad he asked, “What’s up with Aisling?” He looked at his dad searching for an answer on his face. Who’s Aisling? Was it that girl that I saw outside?

“That’s not something I am allowed to tell you,” he replied.

“What is going on?” Azaiah yelled.

“Again, I am not allowed to tell you, but I will tell you that you guys messed up.”

“How could we have messed up? We don’t know what we did!” Serge yelled.

“None of this makes any sense! You know what, fuck it. I’m gonna go find her and work all of this misunderstanding out,” Z said, walking back outside. We all followed right behind him.

“Zebulon!” Mr. Reynolds called out before we all filled into the car. “She's not going to want to talk to you.”

“Screw you!” Calix yelled back at him.

Seconds later, we were driving down the road with no destination thought of. This was going to be a long night.
