Chapter 6

A's P.O.V.

When I got home, Z's car wasn't outside. "Ri! I'm home!" I yelled into the apartment.

"In here!"

I walked towards the living room and saw Ri watching a movie in her jammies.

"Where'd they go?" I asked while stealing some popcorn from her.

Furrowing her eyebrows together at me she replied, "I'm not sure. Calix asked me where you went but I walked away. I heard Z's car leave a few minutes later, so I assumed they went to a club or something."

As if on cue, we heard car doors being slammed and then the front door opening. They all walked through the door and stopped to stare at me. Standing up, I walked towards my lovely brother and kneed him where the sun don't shine.

"What the h-hell," Jago said, gasping for air. The other guys just looked at me, not wanting to say anything that could make them end up in the same position Jago was in.

"I thought Calix was stupid, but boy was I wrong," I spoke.

Looking at me confused he breathed out, "Why am I stupid?"

"The question you should be asking is how did you fuck up your life so quickly in such a small amount of time."

"I don't know what you're talking about A," Jago said, finally being able to pick himself up off the floor.

"You guys are in a war with another gang because you couldn't keep it in your pants!"

They looked a little shocked at my statement but didn't bother trying to cover it up.

"Who told you?" Calix asked.

"Santiago told me, sort of. He said that he needed artillery to take out a gang in another country, but I wouldn't let him because I found it pointless to start a war between two countries. Then he tells me that he only wants to take out the brothers because one of them," I said while glaring at Jago, "fucked his friend's girl."

"Choose your sluts wisely next time Jago," Z said with a glare.

"She's not a slut," Jago instantly replied.

We all quieted down at his statement. The only thing you could hear was Riley's chewing as she ate her popcorn and watched our argument with anticipation.

"Do you have feelings for Cindy?" I asked Jago with narrowed eyes. He looked at me and then to the floor.

"I can't believe this," I whispered to myself while pacing around the room.

"So what if I have feelings for Cindy, A? No one chooses who they fall for."

"Oh, so you and Cindy are in a relationship then?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes. No. It's complicated," Jago said.

"You were fucking some chick the other day, and yet you have feelings for Cindy?"

"She knows that I have needs, and because of the war, I told her to stay away from me for now."

"You were keeping secrets from us?" Serge interjected.

"You guys wouldn't have understood if I told you the truth," Jago defended.

"Damn right we wouldn't have!" Z said getting in Jago's face, "We've been in a damn war because of this chick. We've lost hundreds of men, we almost lost Aza if you don't remember! All of these deaths because you couldn't keep your dick out of a slut!"

"She's not a slut!" Jago yelled back into Z's face.

Serge pulled Z back while Azaiah pulled Jago back.

"How well do you know Cindy, Jago?" I asked him.

He turned his head towards me and pushed Aza's hands off of his shoulder.

"I've been talking to her every night before I go to bed since the war started."

"How is she then?" I asked him.

He was obviously confused by my question but answered it anyways.

"Besides the stomach flu she got last week, she's fine."

"Stomach flu?" Stomach flu my ass.

"Yeah, she's been throwing up a lot," he stated like it was obvious.

"You don't know your girlfriend at all then."

"I think I know my girl better than you."

"If you did, then you would know that she doesn't have the stomach flu. She's pregnant."

The room went quiet. Riley was too shocked to continue eating.

Jago looked at me with a shocked face and then glared at me.

"Just because you don't like Cindy doesn't mean you have to start rumors about her A."

Is this guy that big of an idiot?! Scoffing, I said, "You don't wanna believe me? Then go ahead and call your girlfriend."

"I will."

Jago walked away from us while grabbing out his phone.

"He seriously knocked up that girl?" Aza asked me.

"Yes Aza," I said while laying down on the couch and putting my head in Ri's lap, "I'm not sure if Santiago is gonna actually follow through with killing you guys, but hopefully he'll come to his senses soon."

"Who's Santiago?" Taislen asked.

"He's the leader of the Armonía gang," I replied with my eyes closed.

"And your ex-boyfriend?" asked Aza.

"Yes."

"So what exactly happened while we were gone? Dad told us a good amount of your story, but I'm sure there's more to say like, why you hate us?"

Sitting up, I glared at Z. "Look, I don't hate you guys, but I'm very close to it. You guys may not be able to remember what you did, but I sure as hell can, and I'm not ready to forgive you for that."

The guys looked down disappointed, "But," I continued, "I will try to learn how to trust you guys again. I'm not saying I'm going to change how I am, but maybe I can be a little more open. Although it could take a very long time for that to happen."

They comprehended what I had said and had small smiles on their faces.

"I'm sure we can wait that long," Aza said, while the others nodded.
