Warning: Sexual Situations

The party was in full swing and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Alcohol flowed freely and the party became relaxed and casual. Jenna was late and Lindsey checked his watch.

"She will be here. She wouldn't miss it" Stevie whispered to him, already a little tipsy from her bottomless wine glass.

"I know." he says, checking his watch again.

"Did Will take the girls home already?"

"Yeah, only a few minutes ago."

"I miss them already. I wish they could have stayed."

"He said something about Kristen giving them a curfew even though it's not even a school night. I think she's just pissed off. She won't return my calls when I ask about weekend visits."

"I'm sorry, baby" Stevie says, rubbing the back of his hand with the soft palm of hers. He smiles warmly, looking down at her.

"I should have married you first" he said.

"Don't go back there, Linds. I may not have been your first wife but I better be your last wife" she says, poking him playfully in the ribs and he laughs.

"Of course you will be. I love you."

"I love you too" She kisses his lips softly, continuing to comfort him. He really was a sensitive guy despite what others may think. He reached into his pocket and took out his phone, feeling the vibration of a text message.

"Jenna's here and she says she brought someone"

"Isn't she dating someone right now?"

"I think she is but she prefaced it with 'don't freak out' so I don't think it's him."

"Oh..." Stevie says, taking a sip of her wine.

"Stay here, I'm going to check it out." Lindsey says and Stevie nods, mingling with guests who were dying to see her ring and talk about wedding preparation. She told them all about Karen working with the wedding planner, Jenna helping out as well, and all about the perfect dress, which she had made to her specifications. Meanwhile, Lindsey went to greet Jenna who was already out of the car, getting out a wrapped gift from the trunk.

"What's this?" Lindsey asked.

"You'll see. It's kind of a joke but I think you will both really get a kick out of it"

"Alright." He kissed her cheek. "How are you?"

"I'm good."

"You look really nice. Stevie is going to love your dress."

"Well, I'm dripping in velvet for her so..." she said. Her rose-toned hair was clipped back on one side with a beautiful jeweled slide pin, the other side falling seductively over one eye. It was still asymmetrical in cut with a soft, slightly messy appearance. Her dress was a long, long sleeved, high neck velvet dress with a deep open back. She paired it with devastatingly high heels and long drop earrings. She wore a million rings, like Stevie and he smiled at the similarities he saw from the beginning.

"Where is your guest?"

"Um...see, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. It's..." The car door on the passengers side swings open and he stands aside.

"Hi, Lindsey" Jenna's guest says and his eyes go wide. "Long time no see"

"Oh man, this isn't going to be good" Lindsey said, a hand placed to his forehead in panic.

"I'm sorry, she really wanted to come." Jenna said.

"She's your mother. I, I understand."

"Since our talk, I know it was wrong of me to dissuade her from coming around. She talks about the both of you a lot and well, I wanted to see you guys. It's been a long time." Carol said.
