Chapter 7

Connor's POV

               "Elliot is blind." the words ran through my mind so many times I lost count. How am I going to tell her? I promised that she would be okay! "Is there any way to fix it?" I asked hoping for a yes. "Yes but it involves surgery." the doctor said. "Oh okay." I said wondering if Elliot would do it. I took a deep breath and went in. "What did the doctor say?" she said not looking up from her feet. I sat next to her and said, "Um, well the doctor said you're...blind." "What?!" she said starting to hyperventilate. "Stop, calm down. You'll be fine. You can get surgery to fix it." I said trying to calm her down. "Surgery?!" she said breathing even more heavily. "It'll be okay just calm down." I said as she started crying. I pulled her into a hug. "It'll be okay. Just calm down." she wouldn't shake it off that she had to get surgery. "Okay. Go tell the rest of them." she said pulling away from the hug. I did what she told me and told them. "How is she?" Ricky asked. "Fine but um...she's blind." I responded. They all gasped. "She has to get surgery to fix it." I said reassuring them. Avril looked hurt. She looked as if Elliot were dead. "Can we see her?" she asked about to cry. I just nodded and walked in with them.

Avril's POV

               We walked in to see Elliot lying down on the doctor's bed thing singing Nothing Left to Say. "There's nothing left to say now. There's nothing left to say now. I'm givin' up givin' up hey hey. I'm givin' up now." she sang sleepily. "You wanna go home now?" I said smiling. She nodded and closed her eyes.

Elliot's POV

               So I was blind now. Avril had to guide me to the car. In the car I laid my head down on Sam's arm (cause my head couldn't reach his shoulder.) I thought about if I should do the surgery or not. I guess I think for a long time cause after what felt like 30 seconds we were home. Sam picked me up and carried me inside. He put me down on the couch and I fell asleep instantly.
