Chapter 26

Elliot's POV

I wake up in the middle of the night from a thunder storm raging outside. I had a HUGE fear of thunder and lightning and I can't get over it. No matter how hard you try I will always be afraid. Another loud clap of thunder boomed as if it were in my room. Oh I got my own room finally, which is a blessing and a curse. I screamed and hid under my covers. Another one boomed and I got up and started running and screaming around my room like a crazy person. Connor opened the door and said, "woah, Elliot calm down!" I ran into his arms and he hugged me. More loud thunder roared over our heads and I started not to feel safe. I started slapping Connor's back until he let go and I started screaming and running around the room again. I ran out of my bedroom and jumped onto the couch. I curled up into a little ball, wishing everything would stop. I started thinking about how Connor got mad yesterday, the reform school, my parents, everything. I no longer felt comfortable here. I calmed down a little and allowed Kian to carry back to my room. "I'm sorry." I said. "It's okay, Elliot. You just got scared." Ricky said. They tucked me in and kissed me goodnight. I feel asleep instantaneously.

---in the morning---

I woke up and had some toaster waffles. The sad thing was that I felt like I had to ask if I could have it. "Of course you can, Elliot! You don't have to ask." Ricky said getting the waffles from the freezer. "I know I don't." I said quietly. "Is anything wrong? You seem... different." he said crouching down to my height. I nodded and walked to my bedroom to talk. "I don't feel comfortable here anymore, Ricky!" I said. "What do you mean here? This is your home, it always will be." He said rubbing my arm. I smiled slightly and said, "are you gonna tell anyone?" "Its not like its a big secret, but I have to at least tell Connor." I just answered, "okay." We walked back down stairs and had some breakfast.

Sorry this chapter is a little short its kinda just a filler chapter but I have everything planned out, thanks to my good friend @char6202.
