Tairon's pov

When he left, I was so happy, I couldn't hide my joy. But as I wasn't out of the closet, i had to hide it. Mom wouldn't mind, my sister would be happy to talk to me about boys when she'll grow up, but I didn't know about my dad. When the subject was up, he didn't made a face but he said nothing. He was at home tonight, I would talk to him during dinner.

Here we were. Dinner time.

Only me and my dad because Mom wasn't there and Nylah already ate and was asleep.

"So how was your day, son?"

"Great..."

"You sure?" He asked looking concerned.

"Yeah, uhm, well. Something important happened..."

"Something with June?"

"Oh, not her, I broke up a month ago..."

"Oh, yeah, your mother told me about that."

I was surprised. What else did she tell him?

"Did she tell you anything else?"

"No, not really, beside that you skipped school today. That's unlike you, Tairon. Is that what you wanted to tell me?"

"Eh, kind of..."

"Go ahead."

"I skipped school with someone..."

"Who?"

"Aiden Stone..."

"Oh, your friend who stayed for your birthday?"

"Yeah... Well, he's not really my friend... H-he is more of my..."

"What?"

"He's my boyfriend..."

He stayed silent for a couple of seconds.

"Well, I want to meet him. If he makes you skip school then I'm against your relationship with him, but if it doesn't happen again, then I guess it's okay..."

"You're okay with that?"

"With what?"

"Me, being uh, liking another guy?"

"You mean being gay?"

"I'm not gay! I just happen to like Aiden. A lot..."

"Well that's called being gay, son. And yeah, I'm fine with that as long as you stay safe and he makes you happy."

I smiled. He smiled back. I was so happy, both my parents liked me even if I was liking Aiden.

When I finished eating, I went upstairs and called Aiden. He didn't answer. I called again.

"Hey!"

"Hi..."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, uhm, well, I could be better."
