Aiden's pov

After the bell rang, I went to the parking lot to wait for Chris. The chilly wind of the last days of October tickled my nose. Tairon had already left as he had a family dinner tonight and needed to help his mother. Chris was late. Nearly everyone at school had left. I looked at my phone, 16:30. A small drop of rain splashed on the ground near my shoes. And soon a heavy rain poured. I ran to the school's porch and slipped on the stairs but someone grabbed me before I fell. Not again! It was Evan. He pushed me up to him and we were so close that if I made any movement our lips would be connected. I froze and glared at him.

"You should thank me,"he said with a mischievous grin.

"I won't."

He shrugged and I tried to back away but his firm grip wouldn't let me budge.

"Where do you think you're going babe?"

"I told you to stop calling me babe. Now let go!"

"No, I like holding you like this. It reminds me of the first time we kissed. Wasn't it exactly like now? Rain, you slipped, I grabbed you and I kissed you. How romantic!"

I lowered my gaze to his lips.

"Do you want me to kiss you maybe?"

"No!"

"I know you want it. The way you're looking at me says it all."

"N-no, I-I don't-"

And his lips brushed mine. I felt goosebumps all the way down my spine. He pressed a bit more and I tried to get off his grip but he held me tighter. One of his hands moved up to my hair in which he tangled his fingers. Was I appreciating this? I needed to get out of here. Only one thing to do. I threw my knee up in his groin and he squealed and let go of me.

"Don't ever do this again! You didn't change the very least!"

Hopefully Chris arrived five seconds later. I hopped on his bike and told him to go. Evan was staring at me still. He seemed sad.

In my guest bedroom near 11pm, I called Tairon and told him everything while sobbing. I didn't told him I had possibly appreciated the kiss because I didn't know if I did or not. He said it was okay, that it wasn't my fault, it was Evan who jumped me. But something in his voice made me feel like he was frustrated.

"Are you mad at me?"I asked.

"No... I'm just... I don't know what to feel..."

"I'm so sorry Tairon... I love you."

"I love you too but did you feel anything when it happened?"

I didn't know what to say.

"No, not really... I don't know... It's just that it was weird to kiss him. I didn't enjoyed it neither I disliked it, it was just... A blurry feeling..."

I paused, he sighed.

"But you kiss better though..."

"Really?"

"Uh-huh."

I knew he was blushing.

"Okay then... But I'll wait with you tomorrow and everyday. I'll make sure you're never alone again."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"We sound like 'The Fault in our Stars',"I say as I laugh.

"You've seen the film?"

"When my cousin was visiting me, she forced me to look at it."

We both laughed. And continued to talk about everything and nothing. I told him there was more life forms on the skin than there were people living on Earth. That if you were to remove all the empty space from the atoms that make up every human on Earth, the entire population could fit into an apple. That there were more vacant houses than homeless people in the united States. That the average person walks the equivalent of three times around the world in a lifetime. And he seemed so interested in all I was saying. Even if it wasn't really important to know all of this. It made my heart flutter. And we continued until we fell asleep.

Omniscient pov

The two girls were chuckling at what the photo they took of Evan and Aiden. Tomorrow everybody at school would see it and they thought the Aiden and Tairon couple would break up. Evan was watching them and regretted that he had ever accepted to make a deal with those two crazy girls. June and Laura were being consumed by jealousy and humiliation. And it wasn't going to end well. Graham peeked at Evan and seemed worried. He felt like a traitor. He knew what would happen and said nothing to Tairon.
