He paced around his bedroom door, breathing in through his nose and out through his mouth. He'd snapped again, he really needed to control his temper. His sister's boyfriend didn't make it easy. His nickname was 'hothead', he always laughed at that. His friends had no idea. He could feel his hands getting hot. He had to set fire to something, now!
He ran into his back garden. Thankfully, he'd always make himself a bonfire, he released his power, within seconds, the logs had been consumed in flames. He let out a long sigh of relief. He always found his power a problem, he had a bad temper, but this power made him always panic on a day to day basis. He'd never hurt anyone, but he had a feeling one day he would. He shook that thought out of his head and watched the flames.
"Gayln! Put that fire out right now!" His big sister Mura yelled from her bedroom window.
"Jesus christ, you have to leave for school in a minute!"
He stuck his middle finger up at her, she replied with more curse words. He sighed and began to walk to his car.
"Oi gay boy," Began Mura's boyfriend Ezi. Gayln turned to face him, his eyes fixed on his irritating face. He didn't understand why she liked him. His hair was longer than hers and it was never washed. Or, it never looked washed. It was a disgusting green colour, his roots had come through months ago. The way he dressed appalled Gayln. All Ezi would wear was tracksuit bottoms. He really looked a state.
"Gayln, say it properly you filthy pig," he replied and carried on walking. Ezi grabbed his wrist and squeezed.
"I said gay boy. Now listen here, your sister told you to put out that fire your crazy ass made. But Tut tut, it's still a blaze. You're not going anywhere until it's out," he sneered. Gayln gave him a little smirk, then kneed Ezi right in his privates. He wined and fell to the floor, cursing up at Gayln.
"Listen here you little shit," Gayln began, kneeling down to whisper in Ezi's ear.
"You may think you're the big man of the house. But your just a boyfriend, one day Mura will dump your ugly ass and find someone better. You can't tell me what to do, you most certainly can't grab my arm like you own me. You make me sick," He began to walk over to his car again. He felt his palms getting hot, but he composed himself. He took deep breathes as he got in the car. He let out a sad sigh and drove away. He turned on the radio.
"Oh for fuck's sake!" He yelled as he heard the song.
"Burn, baby burn. Disco inferno!"
He left it on, beginning to laugh at how ironic it was.
