The lesson had felt like it would never end. The four of them were sweating and not understanding. Jamie stared at Ilma, not knowing what to do.
"Ilma?" He constantly whisper, he didn't get a single reply.
The bell finally rang and the class quickly scampered out. Apart from the four. Jamie gave Ilma a sad look and left, ignoring the teases of the earlier bullies. If Ilma had been with him, she'd have defended him. But she didn't budge, none of them did. They remained in their seats, all staring at the blank exercise book that was meant to have work in. Mr Jones clapped his hands, which caused them all to jump.
"Guys, it's break time. Are you all feeling ok?" He asked them, his usually grumpy voice, turned to a very concerned voice. He suddenly noticed Terra and Gayln's blank pages and tutted.
"Gayln, the one day you turn up you don't bother working? It's your education, fuck it up all you want, but I'm the one who'll get the bollocking if your grades aren't good. Terra, I'm surprised at you." He grumbled and walked out of the classroom, slamming the door behind him.
"What?" Ilma began. Finally coming to her senses.
"Where am I?" she asked. Then she felt stupid as she recognized her science class.
"Seriously, what the fuck!" Gayln groaned, rubbing his suddenly throbbing head. The other three copied him, seeing as their heads had too started throbbing.
All of a sudden, the four of them began to glow. Terra glowed brown, Ilma glowed green, Gayln red and Ura blue. They all moaned in bizarre agony and crumpled to the floor. Each of their elements seemed to spiral around them, causing weird tornado'.
Gayln began to panik, would they burn?
But no, no matter where his fire tornado went, nothing caught fire. It was the same with the others. Their elements had no effect on the classroom. The tornado's span around the room, zipping past each other and past the four teens, still lying on the floor. Until suddenly, they crashed into each other and a bright light engulfed them. It shot out through the windows, breaking the glass.
As soon as that happened, the four of them stopped glowing. But, they all tingled.
They still remained on the floor, all of them panting in shock and awe.
"What just happened?" Ura asked shakily. Her eyes darted to the other three, praying one of them would answer, one of them should know. But she received no answer. No one knew.
"Are we dead?" Ilma asked, that was her only explanation.
"No, princess," Gayln muttered and he finally stood up.
He pulled up Terra by the arm, causing him to stagger into the science tables. He helped the girls up a tad more gently. Terra scowled at him.
"Dude!" He glared, but had not reply.
The four of them stared at each other, not knowing what to say or do. Until Mr Jone's poked his head through the door.
"Break time kids, now!" He yelled, his face an odd shade of red, for some reason, he didn't notice the smashed windows.
The four scampered out the room, then all ran towards the play ground.
