Never Let it Happen Again (Leonardo x Reader) - 2

It had been a few weeks since Leonardo had found you again and you were reunited. Leo had told you everything that had happened with going to the woods and the coma and worrying about you constantly. You also told him about what happened after they had left the city and how you had ran into the Mutanimals. Of course, you all know Leonardo's story, but what happened to you?

Well, you were telling your story to Leo and you almost were acting it out in his room in the lair since during these few weeks, you all had moved back into the lair as well since the city was finally recovering from the Kraang invasion. As you began to pace the room and move your hands around, you told Leo, who was sitting on his bed with his back on the wall, the story of what happened from the day the turtles have left the city to the day Leo had found you.

When you started talking, you began to say, "It all started when I was fighting with Splinter that day. We were trying to find you guys or at least one of you while going through the sewers. We ended up finding Shredder and we both began to fight him. That was when your brothers and April showed up. I was happy that they were alright, but that whole time, I was just really worried about you the whole time. When you were not there, I felt myself start to deteriorate from the inside. I still had to focus on that battle with Shredder though, so we both kept battling him. I was actually surprised that I survived so long in that battle.

Everything then flashed right before my eyes. Splinter falling into the sewer because Shredder pushed him, your brothers and April calling his and my names, and then the banging on the bars as they tried to get to me as Shredder was leaving. After that, there was darkness. I could see nothing for a long time.

That long time did not pass easily either. I kept having nightmares that all of you guys were dead and you and me, Leo, were stuck in all of this chaos in comas with no help, but I was not really in a coma. My condition was just a long time of unconsciousness. It mostly felt like an endless realm of dreams that I could not stop at all.

There was a feeling that I felt like I could not break out of it ever, but then something broke me out of that state. It was a voice that I at least thought I recognized from somewhere, but I did not remember where. Moments later, I got the feeling that I was able to open my eyes and I opened them after a moment of gaining the feeling.

When I opened them, I saw Kurtzman and Dr. Rockwell that were looming over me. They both looked a little worried about me. I tried to speak, but with my condition, I couldn't even say anything. Rockwell had remembered me a little bit from when we had helped him that one time and Kurtzman had remembered me because he had researched about me as well as he showed us when we had met him that one time.

Kurtzman decided that he could not just leave me there and he and Rockwell brought me back to the base of the Mutanimals, so that Rockwell would be able to care for me in a safe environment. It was a lucky feat that I had not passed out at the time of bringing me back and then I had also saw Pigeon Pete, Slash, and Leatherhead once again since the journeys that we had been on with them. It was great to see that they were all alive, but Rockwell had put me down on a table in the room in that base that was his lab.

He started to fix my wounds up and heal them a bit. I had gone asleep during the few hours he was healing me a bit, applying my arm cast, and stitching my wounds. I had awoken to see that I was fully bandaged and pretty much done being attended to.

Kurtzman had come into the room at that time and he started to talk to me about what had happened to you guys and also about what had happened to cause the Kraang invasion of the city. I told him what I knew and he had listened intently. After he was done, he left the room while saying he would come back after getting me some water for me to drink.
