chapter 5: Oh...

Katarina's Pov:

"Okay! So what kind of style are we going for?" I ask Dex as we're video chatting.

"Well...you came up with the love story. What year did you think it in?" He asks.

"I don't know...I'm gonna be a peasant girl and you're a prince so...whatever we'll figure it out when we get there!" I exclaim.

"Alright. Hey, who do you think this new teacher is gonna be? Hopefully he's not mean. I hate asshole teachers!" He exclaims.

I laugh and pull my hoodie over my head.

"Okay! Well im ready when you are or whatever!" I explain.

"Alright well I'll leave in like ten minutes...someone is coming over." He says suspiciously.

"Let me guess....Kenna?" I ask.

"She texted me saying she wanted to talk..." He explains.

"Okay...she probably wants you back! You know that right?" I explain.

"So what if she does? She broke up with me...I still have feelings for her.." He explains.

"Oh my god. Are you that numb. Did you really forget?" I exclaim.

"Forget what?" He exclaims.

"Nothing...to think we even had a chance" I whisper.

"Why are you mad at me Kat? You know I love Kenna! What's your problem!" He exclaims.

"You are! You're my problem Dex! You kiss me, tell me Im not a rebound. You promised me! And then here you are willing to get back with your ex just two days later!" I exclaim. "I don't know about you but I feel like a rebound right about now!"

"Kat I...-"

"I gotta go Dex. I'll meet you there instead! Or you know what! Let's not meet today! I'm not quite feeling up to it anymore!" I exclaim and hang up.

He tries to call me back but I just keep declining.

To think he was different! How could he forget so easily? Why am I that forgettable!?

I log into Facebook and get an instant message from...Ace!

I open it to see he just said hey.

Ace: Hey
Me: oh hey
Ace: what up?
Me: nothing. U?
Ace: same.
Me: wanna...hang out?
Ace: sure....where?
Me: my place?
Ace: sounds cool. Be there in 5.
Me: sweet. Door will be unlocked. Just walk in.
Ace: cool. See u soon kit Kat!
Me: ✌

I log out of Facebook and decide to change out of my sweats and into some floral leggings. I let my hair down and apply light makeup.

I jog downstairs and make my way into the living room right when the door opens.

"Hello?" He calls out.

"In the living room!" I call back.

He enters the living room and I smile when I see him. He smiles at me and collapses onto my couch beside me.

"Well..." He sighs.

"Ace. What do you think about me?" I whisper.

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"What do you think about me?" I whisper again.

"Um...you're pretty...you're smart...you're funny...you've got a beautiful laugh...and smile. You're eyes...they look like they're looking into your soul when you look someone in the eyes. I like your dimples...I love the way your eyes light up when you're happy...I like you.." He whispers.

"Oh..." I whisper back looking into his eyes.

Before I know it our lips connect and we're having a full list fledged make out session on my couch.

I'd always dreamed of kissing Ace but never actually thought I would. His lips are so soft..and they move perfectly with mine.

Before I can get used to anything he picks me up by my waist and sets me on his lap. He slides his hands up the back of my shirt slowly but surely.

He brings his hands back down and to the waistband of my leggings and slips his thumbs into the sides.

He picks me up again but this time taking us up to my room.

He lays me down on my bed and hovers over me. He reconnects our lips and starts roaming my body with his hands again. This time he grabs my butt making me gasp and allows him to slide his tongue into his mouth.

I wrap my legs around his waist and he's still holding on to my butt. I peel off my hoodie and then reconnect our lips.

Soon I end up peeling off his shirt and he takes off my shirt. He runs his hands all over my bare back before stopping at the back of my bra where it clips.

He goes to unclip it but I pull away from the kiss and press my hand to his chest.

"This is really fast...I'm not ready for this...im sorry.." I whisper and sit up.

"No no I'm sorry. I started it." He exclaims.

"I let it continue this far. I'm just not ready.." I Whisper.

"Are you a...virgin?" He asks.

"No no...I'm just not ready..we're not even together. We haven't been on a date and I just got out of a relationship...I'm sorry Ace. I want to but I can't...not yet!" I explain.

"It's okay kit Kat. Don't worry about it." He smiles and kisses my forehead.

We put our clothes back on and I lead him down to the front door. He didn't stay long but it was long enough. We almost had sex and I'm just not ready to do it with anyone else right now.

I've only ever had sex with Jason...Marianas father took my virginity when he raped me an so besides the asshole who did that I've only been with Jason. I'm just not ready yet. Besides, when I graduate I'm bringing Mariana home and I need someone who's gonna be there for me and her. Ace isn't really the father figure type....maybe one day but not now...and neither is Dex...I need someone who loves kids...wants kids and doesn't mind if they get with someone who had kids.

Guess I'll be waiting a while then.
