It has been a week since I got that butterfly. It has been quiet, peaceful, and believe it or not, Sherry has been nice and well...normal. But the only thing is, is that Alice and Dalton haven't came out to talk to us or have been seen. I walked up to the butterfly and just stared at it. Something isn't right, I thought.
"Carson," I began to speak but I heard a door slam shut downstairs. Carson and I looked at each other then ran down the stairs to see what happened. Sherry was standing in front of the basement door. Just standing there. Carson slowly walked towards her and I grabbed his hand but he pulled away and kept walking.
"Carson," I whispered.
He didn't answer me and he finally reached Sherry.
"Sh-Sherry," Carson spoke.
She turned to him, "have you two talked to them?"
"What?" he questioned.
"Have you two talked to your brother and sister?" her voive started to sound angry.
"N-not recently. Why?" he answered with a puzzled look.
She stared at him for a minute then walked towards me. She approached me then grabbed my hand.
"Please, let go," I begged. My heart began to beat faster.
'Why are you scared?" she asked.
I didn't respond. She dragged me to the basement and then locked me in it. I banged my fists on the door and screamed for help. The door knob began to wiggle, and I assumed it was Carson trying to open the door but then it stopped wiggling and I heard a thud out there.
"Carson!" I screamed.
All I could hear was the sound of my heavy breathing. I turned around, once again to try to find the light switch. I finally found it and I turn it on. I was expecting to see Alice and Dalton but they weren't there.
"Alice!" I called out. "Dalton!"
No answer. Where could they be? I'm so confused. Ever since I found that butterfly things were quiet around here. No sign of Alice and Dalton and Sherry has been normal until now. I started to look around until I tripped on something and fell. I was assuming it was a dead body because all there was were dead bodies in here. I quickly stood up and brushed my shirt and pants off. I saw a light flicker on and off in the back of the basement so I carefully made my way to it. There was a door with a sign that said "Do not enter" on it. So knowing me, the idiot I am, I slowly opened the door but something was in the way. I pushed my body against the door and it finally opened. The light in the room stopped flickering so I tried to find a flashlight. I used my hands to feel around for one and I felt an opened drawer with things in it. I felt around for a flashlight and picked up what felt like one. And sure enough it was. I shined it around the room and saw another door. I walked over to it and slowly turned the door knob. That's when I fell hard on the floor and my vision began to get blurry. Then to complete darkness.
