Chapter 20:

“You what?! I can’t believe you would do that? How could you? Just… ugh, you are so frustrating, so is your situation… ugh”

Keiko listens to her cousin Rin commenting about her decision, in all fairness though she made it something advantageous for everyone. She gave them a chance, a chance to redeem themselves to her.

“I can’t believe you’re my sixteen years old cousin. This is just way out of reality; I mean really three guys? There are three guys fighting over you, and I’m nearing twenty and I never experience that kind of adventure. What did you do to have their hearts?” Rin just couldn’t stop, she just can’t believe Keiko’s situation and her response.

“What’s so wrong with texting each of them to take me out to the best date they could ever think of and you made a riddle for a clue?” Keiko couldn’t help but ask. Rin looked at her with an exasperated expression.

“The whole idea. I mean can’t you just choose, and I mean you are going to play again aren’t you?” Rin ask

“Well yeah I’m gonna play, and let me ask you who will you choose if you were in my shoes?” Keiko said raising an eyebrow at Rin. Thinking about it, Rin couldn’t help but say “the one who makes my heart flutter the most, someone I can see tomorrow with.”

Keiko scoffed at that, “If it’s only that easy.” Keiko thought about her future, the future she cannot see. In all honesty she feels so helpless, maybe she should have just studied hard and graduate already become a doctor or something. She can’t really see where she’s heading to it’s simply a big mess of things.

“Let’s get help”

Keiko was taken aback with Rin’s comment. Help with what? She questions internally.

Rin dragged Keiko out of her room and head towards the library in their house. In there they saw Ren reading a book in a nook.

Getting a paper and pen out of nowhere Rin shoved those to Keiko saying “List there their names, what you like about them, what you don’t like about them. What you think will happen with your future.  What is your current state of mind towards all this; just write.”

With no complaint Keiko follow, thinking about everything. After an hour she finished writing everything. Rin read every single word she wrote and concluded, “Damn, just what is with you? Okay so you liked Kenma because of his eyes. Let me see the texts you sent to them”

Hearing Rin orders, Keiko handed her phone to Rin who reads her text:

“To you who confessed and is fighting for my attention, I just want to tell you that I have an unhealthy obsession.

I like to play this game, and now it’ll never be the same.

Go and win my heart, though I’m afraid it will be a fight.

I’ll give you a clue, for dates I like to eat and drink.

Take me out to play, and maybe my answer will be ‘yes, I’m attracted to you, okay’

PS. I may be smart intellectually, but let me warn you it’s another story emotionally.

“Well that’s just crazy, I wonder who will fall for this? Then again they must’ve be crazy for you. But you’re only 16 yrs. old teenagers. This couldn’t last forever, and you know it. If you want to play, do make sure you don’t break those innocent boy’s heart, cousin.” Rin said sighing, feeling pity over the poor guys who have fallen over Keiko.
