Chapter 21

Chapter 21:

Throughout their 'date', Keiko and Lev went to the amusement park oblivious with the stalkers they have; the two were too preoccupied with having fun and eating funfair food.

"Which ride should we get on next?" Lev asks smiling at Keiko just as they exited the roller-coaster.

Keiko was slightly flushed after the ride, with her hair slightly sticking out in some places, "Um, let's take a break and head to some café, my throat needs a little break from all this excitement, Lev" she smiled taking Lev's hand pointing at some random place, coincidently it was a cat café.

*Squeel~~

Keiko and Lev was elated from all the cats that greeted her as they entered...

"Ah~ I want to mofumofu those cats" -Keiko

"So fluffy" -Lev

The two quickly dashed in and headed to their sit, ordering some treats while petting some cats here and there.

"They looks like their having fun" Rin commented seeing the couple who're wearing an expression of bliss.

"A-re? Why are they having too much fun?" Asahi was almost sulking

"I'm jealous" Kenma stated, wanting to have Keiko for himself

As time passed by the other suitors are feeling dejected seeing Keiko's happy expression, the same time are their jealousy fires up. Unable to watch any longer they left, this time more determined to win Keiko's heart and make her smile the best.

That day Keiko and Lev simply enjoyed each other's company, that Lev almost forgot his mission from all the fun they're experiencing until it was time to end.

"K-keiko, umm... I know that you're confused and that you don't know the answer, but let me tell you this, I like you. I really really really like you ever since we were young. You were the first that makes me feel this way towards the opposite gender, the one who makes me smile when you smile, the one who makes me feel like everything's okay if you're happy for real and makes me feel lost whenever I see you sad and gloomy. Hearing me say all that feels like it's lines from a sappy romcom but those were real. When you suddenly disappeared I was lost on what I was feeling then one way or another I kept on remembering the girl who likes cats so much, who teases me, who makes everything fun... The girl who enjoys volleyball so much that it hurts her to quit, but she did it anyway; Then one day that girl showed up in front of me, almost unrecognizable but those signature eyes of yours, odd eyes that shows whatever you're feeling, seeing those eyes glitter when your happy, and darken when you're sad. It was so familiar that I immediately know, it was you, the girl who made me feel this way. I want to tell you that whomever you choose and whatever happens, I'll try to be okay and I'll support you and be next to you, 'kay?"

Lev spoke with so much passion that Keiko teared hearing his confession. It was too heavy that Keiko can't help but feel guilty thinking she might hurt this boy's feelings...

"I--" just as Keiko was starting to speak Lev used his hands to cover the girl's mouth franticly speaking

"Don't answer yet! I'm not yet ready"

"Mmf! mmh"

Attempting to remove Lev's hands on her mouth, Keiko pinched Lev's arm and glared at the boy; who's now nursing his arm.

"I don't know what to say, Lev, honestly I do know I can't answer you right away. I'm not that dense!! You didn't have to go so far as to using your hands to shut me up, you know?! *sigh*" Keiko almost yelled at Lev, the same time was she thinking: 'why did I even bother with this idiot', as she looks at him.

With the mood all messed up now, the two slowly felt an awkward silent upon them.

"..."

"..."

A few more seconds passed by and having the courage to speak up, Lev asks Keiko, "Just by chance, what is your plan?"

Keiko was shock; she didn't expect that, specifically that question. And as if though the temperature dropped Keiko stood there frozen.

What seemed like decades was actually just seconds, until Keiko spoke up, "honestly? I thought of returning to the court after this."

It was silent, neither spoke a word to each other after.

Aside from the fact that the sounds of people around them, nothing else was heard.

And just like that their 'date' ended.

It wasn't exactly as both Keiko and Lev expected as the day ended. Though, Lev still trying to be a gentleman he still escorted Keiko home.

'what a disaster' unknowingly the two had synchronized thoughts. And they finally parted.

"huhu... I'm such an idiot!" Keiko cried out into her pillow inside her room just as Lev left. The girl immediately run upstairs just as soon as the boy was out of sight and started beating herself for the lack of sensibility.

"I'm really an idiot! And here I thought I could have just resolve it all, but no! I still have no clue on what to do!" Just as she keeps on pouring out her heart to a pillow, she didn't notice the presence of another enter her room.

"Ho~ would you look at that, my little girl is finally growing up! Having some love problems already"

"!?, MOM!"

Keiko couldn't believe her eyes! Her mother just witnessed her at her lowest, 'why is it now?' she can't help but think.

"did you honestly think that I wouldn't know? I have Rin-chan as a spy you know" Sayuri said looking at the pitiful state of her daughter.

"Mommy! Why am I such a douche? Why did the three of them confessed? Why? Why can't things be simple?" Keiko complains hugging her mother.

Sighing, Sayuri looks at Keiko. Patting her child's head she said "you're far too young to actually be so engrossed in this whole love fiasco you know. Some things just can't be rushed and honey you know you still have a whole life ahead of you. Some things could change such as feelings, only time will tell. So don't mind this things too much, maybe one day it will come to you and you'll be like: oh! I actually want to be with that fool until we grow old together. Just do things on your own pace no one's gonna get angry. And if those boys are really serious, they'll pretty much stick with you."

Soon after the mother-daughter duo are having some girl time with Sayuri talking about the past about her and Makoto and other stuff while Keiko listens, amaze about how much she didn't know about her parents.

And that's chapter 21. Next would be the endings.

I'm planning a multiple ending setting with one character per chapter. Namely they are Kenma, Lev, and Asahi. Each with their own epilogues. I'm also planning a last/extra chapter that has no actual pairing and is pretty much an open ended one...

The reason is simply because I'm still confuse on how this book should actually end.

And so please wait for the next/last chapters to be updated and anticipate on how each of them actually happen. All of which will be updated after this one.
