Mark POV:
I stare out at the setting sun, Anti's figure disappearing into the dark shadows of the trees. My wings rest on my back, wondering why Jack let him leave.
"Brother?"
I turn around to see Wilfred standing in the doorway, confusion on his features. He kicks a little at the ripped pieces of cloth that are scattered on the floor. His eyes meet mine and they scan my wings.
"What happened?"
"Anti."
He frowns deeply and walks towards the window, looking out like he can still see him flying. He looks at me and sighs deeply.
"Don't go after him."
"Why not?"
"That forest is dangerous. Don't go there."
With that he marches off, leaving me to stare out the window. Wondering why he left, what will happen, and why is it dangerous?
ShadowMash POV:
My eyes scan the forest trees, darkness surrounding me. Dried leaves crush under my boots, my dark red eyes shining brightly. The chains around my wrists clanking together as I move my arms. A large claw mark covering my left upper arm.
"Where is he?"
My head snaps up to see a familiar figure circling above the dark trees. His dark wings flapping slowly behind him. Him wiping his eye to keep the green goo from falling. His tail resting peacefully on one of his legs. What is he doing here? I close my eyes and dark wings appear from behind me. The edges sharp and ragged, perfect black shapes. I send myself upwards, floating just behind the familiar demon.
"Well, well, well."
He quickly turns around, his eyes widening in shock for a slight second. His fists ball up and Madrai growls. He obviously doesn't want to see me, so why in the world would he be here?
"What happened to never seeing each other again?"
"It was Jack's idea, not mine."
My eyes widen, Jack's idea? That is complete bullshit. That little human despised me the minute we met. Anti flies closer, anger still flashing in his eyes.
"We need your help."
"You think I am willingly going to help you? Where have you been living?"
"Just.. uh- please?"
My mouth falls open. Did Anti just say please? I must be dreaming, somebody slap me. Anti never says please (at least not to me). He would only say it if it is for something he dearly wants.
"Fine."
"That was easy."
"We both know you never say please so it must be important."
He shrugs and follows me as I fly towards my little shack. Constantly checking back to make sure that he is keeping up. We land on the ground and both our wings disappear. His fading into the shadows and mine turning into smoke. We steadily walk in, him shifting uncomfortably.
"Remember this place?"
He nods a little, me slowly walking towards him. Trapping him in a corner. His eyes bore into mine, confusion sparking in them. I step closer, our chests touching.
"What about this?"
I slowly lean in, keeping my eyes open just incase he tries something. His eyes widen and Madrai bites into my leg, causing me to flinch back. Smirking slightly.
"Let's not bring back unwanted memories."
"They're unwanted?"
He growls and walks past me, shoving his shoulder roughly into mine. I chuckle slightly, amused at his angered state. He walks to the kitchen counter, hopping onto it. Scanning the room repeatedly. I follow his gaze. Papers scattered everywhere, the scratch marks from when he was last here still evident on the walls and furniture. Books cover the tables and various different colored liquids in test tubes are neatly aligned on the shelves.
"I see nothing changed."
"What do you want?"
"A visit."
"Dark."
I growl loudly after saying his name. Anger flooding through my veins just by thinking about him. I never liked him, he always gave me this bad feeling. Also he got Anti, and not me. He smiles slightly at the sight of me angry.
"Yes, Dark."
I growl again, flashes of his smirking face appearing in my mind. I feel Aaron role his eyes inside my head.
"Get over it already. It happened like four years ago."
"Don't you miss Jack."
"Shut up."
I walk upstairs, an excited noise coming from Anti's mouth. I roll my eyes and walk to the ladder to the attic. Anti almost jumping behind me. I sigh sadly as my head peeks inside. Red markings decorating the floor, endless candles burning bright. I give Anti a hand, helping him up. Him almost immediately running to the middle of the room.
"Stop."
"What?"
"You have to pay me."
"WHAT?"
"With a kiss."
His eyes widen and a small blush covers his cheeks. I still have feelings for the doofus, the least he could do is let me have one more kiss. I beckon him over with my finger. Him shuffling closer. He bites his bottom lip, Madrai staring angrily at me.
"Fine."
I smile slightly as he leans in, his eyes fluttering closed. Mine soon follow as our lips connect. Me enjoying the moment while I feel Anti already pulling away. I quickly wrap my arms around his neck and keep him in place. Causing little sounds of protest to escape his mouth. After a few more seconds I let go, licking my lips.
"Still delicious."
"S-Shut up."
I chuckle before walking back to the ladder. Saluting him before going down. I will forever love that idiot.
Heeeyyy Cupcakes, soooo, it's been forever. Not exactly proud at how long this took. It's just I have been busy (like always) and did you know that wattpad is banned in Guilin? (If you don't know what Guilin is, well, it is a city in southern China. It's an amazing place, you should go visit it if you haven't I suggest the Li River Resort (it's in Guangzhou), and perfect for bike riding. But, google drive and wattpad is banned there so I couldn't work on this at all.)
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter and -HOLD ON A FREAKIN MINUTE. AM I SEEING THIS RIGHT? 522 READERS. Wow, I never thought I would get any readers. Thanks you adorable little cupcakes. I really hope I can fix this updating schedule for you guys.
