A few days went by and Sky did his best to avoid going to the hospital, now that she was awake Jenny had been asking for him almost daily but he wasn't ready to lay all his cards down. He wasn't ready to lay it all on the line, telling her the truth about how he felt meant losing her as a sister, as a friend and he wasn't sure it was worth it.

For the passed twelve years Jenny had been the one constant thing in his life and if their relationship failed she would be gone and he'd have nobody. Wolf had Morgan and Iris, Zeke had Ty, Becky and their baby, Ty had Zeke and Becky, Demon and Lacy had each other and Sky only had Jenny.

He waited to see what kind of repercussions would come from Lou's death but none came, it would appear even his most loyal followers were happy with him dead. His body was found but with his shady past and illegal activities it was anybody's guess who did the deed.

So, after a few days Sky finally dragged himself to the hospital. He heard from her father that she was doing better and her speech had improved already, she had started therapy for her motor skills as well. He waited until visiting hours were almost over to go. That way if he needed an excuse to leave he could say the hospital was insisting.

He slipped into the room a small part of him hoping she was asleep but he was never that lucky. Jenny was now sitting up in the bed and other than the tube up her nose had no other machines connected to her. She was watching something on tv but turned towards him and smiled when she saw him. He leaned against the door taking a deep breath, just seeing her awake made all his worries seem so insignificant.

"Sky."

"Hey baby, how're you feeling?"

She gave a small shrug, he wasn't surprised she didn't give a verbal answer. The doctors said she may have trouble finding and pronouncing words, plus her throat was still dry and sore from inhaling the smoke. Speaking was difficult and something for now she only did when necessary.

He crossed the squeaky, clean floor and sank into the chair next to her bed. She frowned at him and he was briefly afraid she was going to toss him out on his ass.

"What?" He asked.

"Y.....your, limping." She managed.

"It's nothing just a few sore spots after my latest negotiation with Lou."

She gave him a look that clearly said she didn't believe him, it was curious to him how he knew exactly what she was thinking just by the look on her face.

"I promise, I'm fine."

She glared a minute longer before giving him a small nod and turning her attention back to her television and whatever British drama she was currently engrossed in. He gave her a few minutes of the comfortable silence, these may be their last ones.

The sinking realization that she might not be interested in being anything but siblings made him hesitate to speak, but he knew he couldn't deny it any longer, he wanted her in his life and not as his sister anymore.

"Jenny.....I need to talk to you about something."

Hearing the serious tone of his voice she switched off the television and turned, giving him her full attention and making him even worse.

"I know I've.....I've been an ass to you these passed few days and I'm sorry."

"It's, okay."

She leaned forward just a bit to rest her hand on his knee and he winced, that was Jenny always trying to soothe his wounds. Always talking him down from the ledge, always pulling his shattered pieces together and pretending it was a masterpiece.

"I haven't been completely honest with you, they didn't kidnap you because you're my sister Jenny.....they kidnapped you because, they knew that.....I'm in love with you."

He saw the surprise and confusion in her dark brown eyes almost instantly, he took it as a bad sign but forced himself to keep going.

"I know I told you it was wrong, I told you that we shouldn't but the truth is I wanted to just as badly as you did. I've never been with a virgin before and I told myself that you were confused because of what happened and that because I was your first you'd formed an attachment but that's not true. I'm the one that was confused, I'm the one that was attached."

"Sky....."

"I know I've put it all on you, I know I pretended that I didn't want you but I did. It was easier to blame you than admit that I was in love with you and that I wanted more than to be your sibling. I think I first began to realize it that night in your apartment and then look what happened, I almost got you killed, three times."

"I enrolled in gambler's addicts anonymous," He continued. "I'm going to get help and Lou is never going to bother us again, I don't think I can continue going on the way things are Jenny. I want you, I tried so damned hard not to but I do, all of you, every minute of every day. I know that I want you but...I need to know that you want this too."

He waited there was a pregnant pause before Jenny began to sob, he winced at the harsh sound echoing in her chest. Standing he quickly gathered her into his arms, sitting down on the bed and holding her close.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Jenny, I should have waited, I should have let you heal."

He pulled her onto his lap, careful not to tangle the tube giving her oxygen up with any of her long, mostly limp limbs. She let out a soft whimpering sound as he settled her against his chest and he was vaguely aware she was shaking her head no.

"It's okay baby, I.......I won't force you into something you don't want." He promised.

She shoved at his chest but didn't have much of her strength back yet, every instinct he had screamed at him not to let her go, to hold her against him until she changed her mind but he couldn't so with a pained expression he loosed his hold one her. She pressed one hand against his chest pushing just far enough away that she could look up at him through her own tear filled eyes, hand resting over his head.

"It's okay," he said softly, brushing her cheek with his hand.

"I.....I do," She managed, sounding pained at the words.

"You do?"

She gave a quick nod, not needing to say anything else as she threw her arms around his neck. His once again locked around her waist, this time positive he wasn't letting go. Pressing a kiss to her cheek, the top of her head and anywhere he could reach.

"I promise things will be different, no more secrets, no more pushing you away." He rambled.

She pulled away just long enough to silence him with a long kiss, that left him with no doubts as to what she wanted rather she could say it out loud or not.
