Chapter 4
Eliza’s POV
1 week later
Me and Luke have been texting non-stop. I actually stayed awake all night the other day, just talking to him. I don’t know what it is, but he just makes me happy. Is it normal to feel that way about someone you have never met? Today was the day that Luke and the boys were flying out to England and he has asked me and the girls to meet him at the airport instead of the meet and greet. I have no clue what I am going to wear. I heard my phone beep on my nightstand telling me I had a text.
From: Luke
How will I know what you look like at the airport? xxx
To: Luke
What top are you wearing? xxx
From: Luke
My Nirvana one why? xxx
To: Luke
I will wear the same so look out for that. xxx
From: Luke
Ok see you soon. I cannot wait to meet you xxx
I locked my phone, made my way to my wardrobe, and pulled out my Nirvana top and some high waisted white shorts. I pulled out my black high heel ankle boots and a multi-coloured beanie. I quickly put on my clothes then straightened my hair placing my beanie on top. I put on a small amount of eyeliner to make my blue eyes stand out.
I heard my phone ring on my bedside table and ran to answer it. It was Emma.
(E= Emma,M= Eliza)
M~ Hey
E~ Hey El we are outside. You ready to go?
M~ yeah I’m on my way out.
I cut off the phone and pushed my phone into my pocket. I grabbed my keys and made my way out the front door locking it behind me. I made my over to the car and sat in the back seat.
“Hey girls. You okay?” I asked as Emma started to drive towards the airport.
“We’re fine. How are you?” Becky asked.
“Nervous.” I admitted.
“Why?” Emma said not taking her eyes off of the road.
“What if he doesn’t like me?”
“If he didn’t like you do you think he would have been talking to you for the past month and a half and given you his number?”
“Yeah but he may regret it once he sees me.”
“I doubt it.”
Luke’s POV
I am so nervous to meet Eliza. The boys have been teasing me every time I talk to her because all I do is smile. I wanted to meet her before the signing so we would have more time together and our meeting wouldn’t be as short or as public. I know it is still fairly public at an airport, but there aren’t as many fans. I only had half an hour until we land. I can’t wait to meet her and get to know her better. The best thing I ever did was answer her tweet.
After what felt like forever we finally landed. Ok now’s the time to meet her. The girl I can’t stop thinking about.
Eliza’s POV
There was just an announcement that their plane had landed. I am so nervous it’s unreal. My hands started to sweat and I had butterflies in my stomach.
“I don’t know if I can do this.” I said to Emma.
“Well you are going to have to now. They are about to walk out of that gate and there is no way I am letting you leave.” She said holding onto my arm so I couldn’t walk away.
I looked towards the gate and saw people start to walk out. My heart suddenly quickened. What if he doesn’t like me? What if he regrets giving me his number? What if he wishes he never answered my DM or tweet? All that was swimming around my head were what ifs. I suddenly saw a group of 4 boys walk out of the gate and start looking around. This is it. They are here. I don’t know what made me do it but I started to run towards them. My eyes suddenly locked with ocean blue ones. Luke. He smiled and opened his arms to catch me as I ran straight into them. I can’t believe I am hugging THE Luke Hemmings.
“I can’t believe I’m finally meeting you.” He whispered into my ear.
“I can’t believe it either. I never thought it would happen.”
I pulled back and smiled up at him. I was a little shorter than him. He was wearing his blue Nirvana t-shirt with black skinny jeans, grey converse and a grey beanie. We just stood there smiling at each other until someone cleared their throat.
“Luke, are you going to introduce us?” Michael asked smiling at him.
“Right. Eliza this is Michael, Calum, and Ashton. Boys this is Eliza.”
“Nice to meet you.” I said smiling at them. “Boys these are my friends Becky and Emma.”
“Hello girls.” Luke said smiling at them.
“Hi.” Becky said. Emma just stood staring at them. And I thought I would be the one to have a fangirl attack. I was stood looking at her when I felt an arm go around my waist. I looked to see it was Luke’s. I smiled up at him and moved in closer to his side.
"Em! Snap out of it” Becky said slapping her arm. I heard all of the boy’s chuckle at her.
“Oh, sorry. Hi.” She said blushing.
“It’s ok love don’t be embarrassed.” Ashton said giving her a hug.
After saying hello we all headed outside and into Emma’s car. Luckily she had borrowed her mum’s 7 seater car so we could fit everyone in. I sat in the back two seats with Luke. Becky was in the middle with Calum and Michael and Ashton was in the passenger seat with Emma driving.
“Where are you guys staying?” I asked Luke.
“I’m not entirely sure to be honest.”
“You can stay at my house if you like. I have enough room and my mum is always away on business trips.”
“What about your dad?”
“I never see him. He left when I was little and I haven't seen him since.”
Luke put his arms around my shoulders and pulled me to rest on his chest. I smiled and wrapped my arm around his waist. I was slowly drifting to sleep when I heard Luke whisper, “I will never leave you.” And with that I fell to sleep.
