So after reading the letter I made my way towards my parents who were waiting for me.
Then there was all the hugging and then we sat in our car and made our way to my home.
Yaa, finally I am Mumbai, away from all the fun I had, from the guy I love, from my best friends, from a beautiful state, back to my home.
"So how was the trip ?" My mom asked me.
"It was superb. I met the most awesome people there, friends I would never forget in my entire life." I told her honestly.
"So you gave them your number, right ?" My mom whispered in my ears.
"No, dad would never like to that. And I don't want to do something that he won't like. After all he was the reason I had the time, I thought I would never have in my life." I whispered.
"But still." She said.
"What are two most beautiful ladies in the whole world whispering about ?" Dad asked looking at us through the mirror, giving me a fatherly smile.
Yes I love Aarav, a lot. But not as much, maybe a lot less than I love my dad. He was everything for me. He was my idol. I wanted to become just him.
I know that if I asked him to let me marry Aarav, he would agree in a heart beat, of course after doing his checking.
But still I didn't want to force him. I had full faith in my dad, and I would never ever do something that would hurt him.
"Nothing. You say how are you ? I didn't talk to you for whole three weeks." I told him.
"I am fine. And I had gone away for work for two weeks, so I couldn't talk with you. And also if I called you, you wouldn't have enjoyed as much as you did." He said.
"What do you mean ?" I asked him.
"You would constantly keep thinking whether my dad would like me doing this and that, and you would have missed all the actual fun. So I told Vani (my dad called my mom Vani) to tell you that I was not there, when you called." He told me.
"You really did that, just so I could enjoy. But you know what dad, I was actually surprised that you let me travel so far alone." I told him honestly.
"I have complete faith in you Princess. I know you would never do anything wrong." He said proudly.
I felt bad for not letting him know about Aarav. I mean, it's okay for me to hide this from them, this would be the only thing I won't tell them.
"Okay, sorry for being a mood spoiler, but I hope you do remember your results would be in four days, right ?"
He asked."Actually, I totally forgot about results." I told him honestly.
"Okay that's enough. Atleast let her get home, freshen, tell us all she did there, and then you both can talk about studies." My mom said pulling close to her.
"Okay okay, I am sorry." Dad said smiling.
After that, we got to home. Then I freshened up. And afterwards I told them about everything I did there.
I also told them about the time I got drunk and how Ishu called Sid, and took us home and all the other drama.
"You really got drunk !" My brother exclaimed.
"Yes Abhimanyu, I really got drunk." I told him.
"Don't call me by my full name, you know I hate that." He said angrily.
"And you know I love irritating you." I told him smiling. It was now that I realized how much I missed my family.
"I really missed you Di." Abhi said coming towards me and giving me a hug.
"I missed you too Champion. How is your football matches going ?" I asked him hugging him back.
He was the best player in his team, and was the captain. Also theirs was the best team. And they had already won many matches because of Abhi.
"What do you think will happen if they have a captain as good as me." He said proudly.
"Yaa yaa, you obviously have won." I said making a face.
"Now don't make such faces, you should be proud of him." My mom said.
"I am proud of my Champion. Why do you think I call him Champion ?" I said.
"Okay, that's enough. You must be very tired now. Go get some sleep." My dad said.
"Yes, I am. But first I want you people to have these." I said and gave them their gifts.
They were really happy with their gifts. And then after talking for some more time I went to sleep.
4 days later
"Aarohi, are you tensed about your results ? I mean this will be the reason by which your career will be decided ?" My mom asked me.
So yeah, 4 days went by. I had a lot of fun with my brother, and being back with my family was really awesome.
But I do missed Aarav a lot, I sometimes even cried when I missed him. I felt really stupid that I left him.
"What are you thinking ? You zoned out Di." Abhi said.
"Nothing." I told him.
"Okay, I am opening the site, let's hope for the best." Abhi said.
"I know my daughter will get admission in MBBS. I have full trust in her." My dad said, and he totally trusted me.
"Okay, let's see then." My brother said and started typing in my number.
"Fingers crossed." I said as I closed my eyes.
"189 out of 200 !" My brother literally shouted.
"189, really !" My mom shouted next.
"Means I am in MBBS. My first step towards my dream career achieved !" I shouted as I hugged my dad.
"I told you Princess I have full faith in you." He said proudly hugging me back.
"I love dad." I said as I hugged him more tightly.
And just like that, I told my friends, my relatives, my neighbours and everyone else and now my career based life began.
