CHAP 40

FIVE YEARS LATER

So as I estimated, I got admission in my dream college. And though this was really awesome, a lot of things changed too.

I mean for starters, take Vivan. When I told him about my result, we went for a party, and of course with Ishu, and also Edina. And they really were into each other.

And also surprisingly, since Vivan had Sid's, Riya's and Aarav's number, I also talked with them. Yeah, I know it's seems that all was going on too well, but actually, everything turned upside down, just a year later.

I was still doing great in college, and thankfully nothing wrong with that, but almost after a year, Vivan's dad got a transfer, and they had to move to Pune.

I know Pune's not too far from Mumbai, but still it changed a lot of things. But luckily, Eddy and Vivan, agreed on a long distance relationship, and more luckily, it was going on great.

We used to visit them once in a while, and then there were times when Vivan and Ishu visited us.

Then moving further, when Vivan was in Mumbai, I used to be in touch with my friends, but when he went away, I lost them all over again.

And I being the stupid person I am, I didn't let Vivan give their contact numbers. And I even thought about asking him a couple of times, but then I backed out.

Then, I still haven't told mom and dad about Aarav. I really missed him a lot.
I still had the letter he gave me, and I read it almost every night.

And lastly, my parent's have started looking for boys for me. And I have already rejected two boys.

So these were almost all the bad things that happened. And now after 5 years of hard work, I passed my exams, and am now working as an intern in a hospital.

"Well, hello miss. You here." I heard someone say.

Well, yeah. I was currently in the hospital on duty. And I didn't even realise that a patient just walked in.

"I am sorry." I apologized and looked at him, but he kept his head down, and I was not able to see his face.

"It's okay." He said.

"So what is it that you are suffering from ?" I asked him.

"Actually, there's this girl. I miss her a lot. And she is so dumb that she didn't give me her contact number, so I am not able to contact her." He said, still hiding his face.

"Well, I can't do anything about that. Now what are you actually suffering from ?" I asked again.

"So you see, I really really want to meet her, talk to her, and now I have finally found her. But the thing, she just won't recognize me." He said.

I was actually getting irritated at this thing, I mean, he is not talking anything about his illness, and I am tired as hell, I mean at internship, they make you work the whole day, sometimes night. And sleep is something which is rare.

But after all this, you still need to be patient with patients.

"Okay, I hope she recognises you. Now would you tell me about your illness ?" I asked.

"You know I loved her, and even though we hadn't talked for like 4 years, I still love her. And it hurts that I took so many efforts to find her, and yet she won't recognize me when I am in front of her." He said.

This was when I recognized that voice. And just then, he looked up and there in front of me was one of the person I wanted to see desperately.

"Siddhant ?!" I exclaimed.

"Thank God, at least you remember my name." He said now looking straight at me.

And without thinking any further, I got up from my chair and went towards him and hugged him like my life depended on that hug.

"Okay cool down CR. I really hope you don't want to choke me and kill me." He said.

"Of course, I don't." I said as I pulled away.

"Thank God." He said.

"How are you ? How did you find me ? And how is everything going ?" I asked him.

"I am fine. And everything's going on well. Me and Riya are still together and are planning to marry in a year and this was why I made it my mission to find you. And after a month of hardwork, I finally found you. And no, I am not telling you how I found you." He told me.

"You and Riya are gonna get married ! Wow Sid that's such a great news." I said as I hugged him again.

"Yeah, we already got engaged, and I am not taking no for an answer. You are coming to our wedding." He said.

"Of course I am." I told him.

"Great." He said.

"Okay Sid, my work would be over by seven, can you meet me here at seven. I have to attend patients now." I told him, when I realized that I was still on duty.

"Cool. Meet you at seven then." He said and gave me a kiss on cheek and went.

And then the day went by very smoothly, because I was happy as hell after meeting my bestie after such a long time.

So after my shifts was over, I quickly got ready to meet Sid, and sure enough he was already waiting for me by his car. He was still the same, never kept me waiting alone.

God I missed that idiot so much !
