Just an introduction to this fic. Not sure how its going to turn out but let me know what you think :) x

They may live just a few steps away from one another but the two 17 year olds have never said more than the occasional "Hi" To one another as they rush off the collage every morning. For 17 years it had been the same. Each would go a separate way as they left their homes in the morning and the fact they grow up in the same street was the only thing in common they had. Well that's what they both thought anyway neither seemed to care about getting to know the other and that's how it had always been.

It was like any other day for Ant as he rushed out of the small house he shared with his mam and sister. After spending the morning making sure he had done the list of chores his mam had left him. He walked quickly down the street checking his watch as he went, cursing under his breathe when he noticed he had just 2 minutes to make it to the bus stop or face a 3 miles sprint to college just so he didn't end up getting punished once again.

On the other side of the street Declan watched as his neighbour ran towards the bus stop. Luckily for him he had the morning off and was just coming back from the shops after being sent out by his mam. He couldn't help but smile at the misfortune of someone else as the bus rushed past and his angry neighbour kicked the nearest wall. The smile was wiped from his face as he saw Ant look up and glare at him in anger. Declan froze to the spot hoping the taller man wouldn't walked towards him. Even though he knew nothing about the boy walking towards him he had seen him getting into fight throughout the years and it now looked like he was his next target. As the taller man approached Declan's heart rate increased and his palms started to sweat. He was a little taken back when nothing happened and the dark haired boy stopped in front of him. "Don't suppose you could give us a lift mate?" He spoke. And without thinking a small "Yes" left Dec's lips.

He'd never really looked at Ant before because he was just another teenage thug he thought. But wow he was hot. "Okay Declan breathe you know how to do that idiot" He thought to himself and he studied the taller boys face up close for the first time.

Ant may have never actually spoken to the boy in front of him but he wasn't completely oblivious to the world around him. He knew Dec passed his test a few months ago and knew his parents had bought him a car. Every morning he watched him drive off, in no hurry what so ever because of course everything in his world was just perfect. Loving parents, big family to stick up for him and probably got everything at home done for him as well. As Ant walked towards the car with the now not complete stranger he wondered why he was even giving him the time of day apart from their fact he didn't want to be at college until late again because he missed the bloody bus.

The two teens got into the car and made their way to the college. Some small talk was played out "How's your mam? Family?" But who were they kidding they'd spent 17 years next door and not made an effort so why start now. All this drive was, was a quick favour to help a neighbour out. Dec on the other hand was silently hating himself for having never made an effort with boy sat next to him. He felt like there was something between them, he hoped there could be something more between them. Because right now Declan Donnelly was crushing and crushing hard.
