I apologise for the slow updates I have no excuse for it! I'm a terrible human being 😂 x

The college year continued and the boys became close then ever. They basically spent all their time together. Helping each other out with their college work even though neither knew what the others work was talking about. After Ant's 18th he decided he wanted to start driving lessons. It was coming up to Christmas when he had his first one and Dec gave him all the encouragement he could. Although Ant found it hard, he wasn't the most coordinated person in the world. Dec tried his hardest not to laugh as the car came jumping along the road at the end of his first lesson. A grumpy looking Ant got out the drivers side and slammed the door behind him.

"Fucking dick head, I am NOT doing that again!" Ant shouted walking into his house and plonking himself down on the sofa. "It's wasn't that bad was it?" Dec asked but could help but laugh as he sat down next to his boyfriend. "Everyone's first lesson is like that mine was! Everyone thinks they can't do it. It's all about learning Anth please stick at it. You'll be so happy once you've passed, all that freedom. And you can drive me around instead" Dec winked pulling Ant in to hug before kissing him gently on the lips. "Alright I will stick with but only for you okay" Ant smiled for the first time since he got back. "Your mam home?" Dec asked with a cheeky grin. "Nope free house. What did you have in mind?" Ant grinned getting up from his seat and walking up towards his room. "Ohh I'm sure we will think of something to do" Dec laughed holding Ant's hand as he dragged him up the stairs.

Soon Christmas came and a much needed 2 weeks off from college made the two boys very happy. Dec had saved all the spare cash he possibly could to buy Ant the perfect gift. Unfortunately they weren't allowed to spend Christmas Day together because Anne had made it clear it was a family day so on Christmas Eve Ant and Dec exchanged gifts. Ant was waiting in the alleyway for Dec to turn up but he was late as always. Looking at his watch once again the younger of the two was starting to get a little impatient. He just started flicking through his phone when he heard a car pull up at the end of the alleyway. Hoping it was Declan finally arriving he looked up and was met by a very happy looking boyfriend. "Your late and it's cold " Ant folded his arms trying to look mad but failed. "I know I'm sorry baby but hopefully this will make up for it" Dec grinned pulling Ant by the hand down the narrow pathway and to the driveway of his house. "Merry Christmas Anth" The smaller boy turned to look at his boyfriend. "What?" Ant spoke in shock. "You didn't? Baby I can't..." He was stopped by Dec's lips on his. "I can and I have Anth...plus ya mam helped out so you need to thank her to" He said hugging shocked boyfriend. "But..." Ant pulled away. "No Anth it's all yours and you deserve it after what happened with your birthday I had to make it up to you so here it is" Dec handed Ant the keys from his pocket. "Fancy going for a spin?"

The two boys and Christine pulled up outside Ant's house about an hour later. "I still can't believe you bought me a car Declan" Ant turned around in his seat to look at Dec in the back. "Not just me Anth" He said looking at Christine. "Yeah thanks again mam your amazing" The dark haired boy kissed his mam on the cheek. "Hey! Where's mine?" Dec spoke trying to sound offended. "You'll get your thanks later" Ant winked forgetting his mam was still with them. "I think thats my queue to leave" Christine laughed. "Merry Christmas Declan" She smiled getting out the car and leaving the two alone.

"So then what's by pressie then" Dec waggled his eyebrows and looking adorable. Which he knows Ant can't resist. "It's right here" Ant said pulling a small package from his coat pocket and passing it to Dec who was still in the backseat. As he opened the gift he was met with a plain silver ring with 'A&D' engraved on the inside. "It's a promise ring baby and I promise to love you every single day for the rest of my life" Ant leant over and kissed his teary boyfriend gently on the lips. "I love it Anth and I love you so much" He pulled away and wiped his eyes. The two boys stayed in the car for a while just chatting and spending time together until Anne came out the house and started banging on the window. "Declan it's late inside now" She spoke from outside the car. "Alright mam I'm coming" He opened the door. "Merry Christmas baby I'll call you tomorrow" Quickly pecking Ant on the lips and getting out the car.

A few months past and eventually Ant passed his driving test. But things between the boys were started to become tense. Both were putting it down to exam stress due to it being their last year at college. The people around them had stared to notice so Ant had come up with a plan to try an get his stressed out boyfriend to relax. It was after college one day and Dec was coming out his last class of the day when he caught sight of Ant talking to another boy by his car. The more he looked he could see it was one of the thugs he use to hang out with. After everything that had happened Ant had promised not to talking to them anymore but right now he was stood shaking his hand and laughing with him. Dec felt his blood start to boil as he watched the boy touch Ant and he marched over. "What's this then?" He questioned as soon as he got close enough. All Ant did was stare at his boyfriend like a deer in the headlights.

I will try to update more frequently but I'm making no promises.....
