"Pete, please don't tell me you're actually considering wearing eyeliner for graduation," Patrick pleaded.
"What, can't a guy look beautiful?" Pete replied as he drew the brush over his eyelid.
Brendon rolled his eyes as he styled his hair in Patrick and Pete's bathroom mirror, "Pete, you're graduating college, not going to a My Chemical Romance concert," he laughed.
"God, can you believe we're already graduating? It feels like I was a freshman just a few months ago," Patrick said.
"It was a few months ago. 33 months to be exact," Pete quipped.
"Shut the fuck up, Pete," Patrick said, shoving his free arm.
"Hey, watch the guyliner!," Pete warned, "By the way, how come you guys didn't invite Dallon and Joe here? Especially Joe, since he's graduating too."
Patrick and Brendon looked at each other hesitantly.
"Oh, well, we didn't want you to feel left out or anything," Brendon admitted.
"You guys don't have to pity me. I don't feel jealous or left out. I'm happy for you guys, you don't have to leave Dallon and Joe out just for me."
"You sure?" Patrick asked, "we're totally fine with-"
"Hey," Pete interrupted, "I'm sure. I'm happy with my life and who I am," he said, although a realization had been placed in his head that now started to make his heart sink.
"We're sorry, Pete," Brendon replied, as he inspected his hair one last time, "alright. I finished. You guys ready to put our gowns on? Together?"
"We're ready," the other two replied, grinning with nervous excitement.

After the commencement ceremony, and after spending time with their visiting families, the four graduates and Dallon met at a vineyard that belonged to Spencer's family. He was hosting a graduation party for Brendon and the other boys in a clearing by a river, where he and his family had set up a huge bonfire. By the time the group arrived, they found many of their friends, including Andy, already waiting for them, drinks in hands and music blasting. They cheered as the guests of honor exited Dallon's car.
"Aw, thanks, you guys! Spence, you didn't have to do all this for me!" Brendon cried as he left the car, rushing to greet everyone. Dallon hurried to catch up with him.
"Wow, there sure are a lot of people here," Patrick muttered to Joe as he took shelter in his shoulder.
"Don't worry, 'Trick. You can hide in my shoulder all you want to," Joe chuckled, as he placed a kiss on Patrick's head.
"Don't worry. It's not too bad, Patrick," Pete added, joining the two as he walked from the other side of the car, "look, Andy's here! Wearing the most clothes I've ever seen!"
"Fuck off, Pete!" Andy laughed as he approached the three, still wearing the dress clothes he wore to graduation.
"You didn't want to go home and change?" Patrick asked.
"Nah, I felt pretty cool wearing business clothes for a change, and it's nice not having people ogle over me all the time," he said pointedly to Pete.
