I'm An Ordinary Girl Who Met Cat Boy!
Chapter Ten.
I woke up feeling very stiff from sleeping on the hospital bed. I rubbed my eyes and stretched. "Morning," Zach said from the bed next to me. I jumped back in surprise. "Were you watching me?" I asked him nervously. "Yeah," he said honestly. "Why?" he asked. "Um... never mind," I shook my head.
"Boy, Jace is going to kill me once he finds out that you slept in the same room as me," Zach sat up stiffly and stretched. "Possibly," I murmured, but I wasn't thinking about Jace at the time. I was thinking about Chris. I don't know why he wants me so badly. I could've been his if he didn't cheat on me. But I'm actually happy that it happened. Now I know his true self, he's a jerk.
"Hey, it'll be alright. I'll be close by you," Zach smiled, assuring me. "I was just thinking about Chris," I stared straight ahead of me instead of looking at Zach. "What if you're not near me when Chris kidnaps or does something to me?" I asked. There was no answer. I looked at Zach, who was looking down at his hands. He was trying to think up of something.
"I don't know," he mumbled. "But I'll think up of something," he continued. He looked up at me. "There's always something good that will happen," he smiled. "I hope. I really hope so," I mumbled under my breath. I knew Zach heard me. He has exceptionally good hearing, since he's part cat.
The whole room was covered in silence. "So, since when were you my girlfriend?" Zach smirked. I blushed. "Well, if I said I was your sister we wouldn't look alike. And if I said we were fraternal or adopted, than that means my mom would also have to lie and the nurses need to talk to your parents," I said.
"Okay," he said doubtfully. "I'm serious!" I protested. "There are more secrets," Zach said out of the blue. "What?" I asked, confused. "There are more secrets to my life," Zach explained. "I really don't have any parents," he continued.
"They died. Well, got killed and eaten infront of me," he looked away. "I...I'm sorry," I said, lost for words.
"They got eaten up by werewolves and the worst part is, they were eaten by the Blood Moon Clan. That's where Chris belongs in and Chris' father was the one who killed them..."
Zach told me to go home, when the nurse came by. We didn't get into any fights but he thought I should go home and eat. Of course I protested but I reluctantly left. All I could think about was Chris and the clan he belongs in. It was a lot to take in. I was only a human. We've been taught that supernatural creatures don't exist. So, all my life I thought they were just stupid myths.
But now I know the truth. They aren't myths except a few things but other than that supernaturals are real.
I asked my mother to pick me up from the hospital, that's how I came home. She cooked her homemade chicken soup. It was very delicious. I ate it quickly and went up to my bedroom. I took a warm shower and changed into comfortable clothes.
I lay down on my comfortable bed and stared up at the walls. I haven't heard from Chris for a while, not that I want to or anything. The last time I saw him, he was in a fight with Zach. I clapped my hands, hoping for the lights to go off to the command but it didn't. It would've been useful. I sighed and got off my bed lazily. I turned off the lights and walked back.
I fell on my bed and instantly fell in a deep lumber.
Today was Sunday. The hospital said that they are letting Zach get out early. For some reason he healed quite quickly. I was parked outside of the hospital, waiting for him to come out.
A few minutes later, he came out in his clothes. He spotted my car and smiled. I unlocked the door for him to get in. He sat in the passenger seat. "So, how can you heal so fast?" I asked. "Well, I am supernatural. We can all heal fast," he replied. "What about the doctors? They took blood from you. Shouldn't they be curious how different your blood is?" I asked. "Oh, the doctors that fixed me are supernaturals. They're a lot of supernaturals out here but you can't really tell."
