Blaze: We need to return to the castle now
Sonic and Tails: Castle?
*Blaze begins to run to her castle. As Sonic and Tails follow Blaze they are stunned by how huge it was*
Sonic: *Whistle*
Tails: Wow...
The castle it's self was huge as like 4 foot ball stadiums combined, it looked like any old castle though in story books*
Blaze: Alright
*Blaze walks to the doors and opens them. She turns around to see the boys looking at the building. Blaze leans against the door*
Blaze: You 2 going to going to come in or just stare and not help me with this Mephiles fellow?
Tails: Oh sorry Blaze
Sonic: Ya, what he said
*They walk in and Blaze closes the door behind her.Blaze takes them to the dining room*
Tails: Cool! Is this where you eat Blaze?!
Blaze: Yes, it is
*Sonic's stomach growls*
Sonic: Good cuz I'm starving, you have any chili dogs?
Blaze: No, I'm sorry. Just take a seat and I'll have my servants make you something
Sonic: Servants?..... ok then
*Sonic doesn't say anymore but sits with Tails*
Tails: Also can you tell them to make something for me to?
Blaze: Sure
*Blaze walks in the kitchen leaving them alone which gives Tails and Sonic the ability to look around*
Tails: To think someone we know lives in a place like this!
*This reminds Sonic of an adventure he had which he was a knight or something like similar. He isn't to astound like Tails*
Sonic: I guess
*Then Tails hears a noise coming from the hall way to the kitchen like metal hitting the ground*
Tails: Say Sonic?
Sonic: What's up?
Tails: Do you hear something?
Sonic: Huh?
*A thud and then some noises makes Sonic jump*
Sonic: Ya I do
*Sonic gets up making Tails do the same and they walk to the hall way. They turn their heads right to see Marine on the ground with metal all over the place*
Marine: Ow...
*Tails walks over to Marine*
Tails: Hey Marine are you ok?
*Marine looks up*
Marine: Tails?!
*Tails helps Marine up and she dusts her self off*
Sonic: What's with the metal?
Marine: Sonic!?
*Marine hugs the, both with excitement and happiness seeing her old friends again*
Marine: I'm so glad you both are here again!
Sonic: Hehe, so are we...
Tails: Yea, say what are those materials for?
Marine was about to say till Blaze then comes running to see what happened*
Blaze: Sonic and Tails wha-
*Blaze sees Marine*
Blaze: Oh Marine, you got the materials good
Marine: Yes princess I did
Blaze: How many times do I have-
Marine: Yes, yes I know. I got to be more careful
*Tails helps her pick up the materials for her*
Marine: Thank you Tails...
*She gets an idea*
Marine: Princess?
Blaze: Yes Marie? And stop calling me that please
Marine: Can Tails help me?
*Blaze thinks about and nods with a small smile*
Marine: Yes, now I don't have to do this alone! Cmon Tails, follow me!
*Tails chuckles nervously on where she is taking him as he hasn't have a clue at all. But Maine leans in telling him it involves machinery which gets him excited which in turn his appetite and nervousness are forgotten till Tails is finished*
Sonic: What's with the parts anyway?
Blaze: It's for improving our defenses, Marine said that she wanted to help so I made her retrieve materials and she takes it to the lab. I'm surprised though that Tails isn't hungry
Sonic: When it comes to machines or something like that Blaze, he loses his appetite
*Blaze looks at the hedgehog in a confused look. They walk back in the dinner area*
Sonic: And Marine's voice changed to
Blaze: Oh you noticed?
Sonic: Of course, she doesn't have that accent anymore
Blaze: She does a bit, you just got to be around her a bit more to notice she still has it
Sonic: Hm, seems she has grown up from the last time me and Tails saw her
Blaze: Indeed she has

*As it begins to fall night, a shadowy mist hovers across a lake till it reaches a forest of some sort to rest. The mist was Mephiles who touches the ground and seems to be searching for a dark place*
Mephiles: Let's see here, a cave shall do and help me recover from my return after my time stream was destroyed by those ratchet hedgehogs
*He spots a cave from afar and smirks. He enters the dark cave. Mephiles walks around trying to find something to take over that can withstand his power even though he is weakened tremendously*
Mephiles: Even though it's dark, I still need something to posses so I can regain my power. There should be something here that's not a pest to my liking.
*He can see clearly threw the dark but he can't see any life but something shining from the moon light that creeps in the cave. He crouches and moves the dirt away easily. A metallic head is revealed but it seems to be broken, rusty with some purple paint on it. He examines it and gets an idea*
Mephiles: If can't find any host for me then why not create one?
*With some of his remaining power he has left till he falls asleep, he lefts up the head with his power and congers the pieces of scrape metal in the ground to reform from what it used to be in whole. After some time Mephiles opens his eyes to see a robotic copy of a certain feline princess*
Mephiles: So the doctor created this
*He moves around the body to see if there is a tracking device just in case it activated that the doctor might come back and retrieve the scrap body. Instead of finding a tracking device he finds his logo but something is off about it. It hits him quick*
Mephiles: So there is another Eggman here? Hm well then I'm sure he won't be needing this anymore as it was forgotten
*Mephiles enters the robot which begins to shake un human like. The robot then bends down and slowly raises revealing green eyes. The machine then raises its right hand and observes it*
Mephiles: Perfect
*Mephiles then walks out of the cave and walks to a small pond he found that was out side of the cave as he entered, he looks at himself*
Mephiles: But this color and look is something I can't stand
*And with that he uses the rest of his power he has. Shadows star tot swirl around and ingulf's him* *Metal can be heard creaking and being smashed together* *After like 2 minutes, the shadows disappear revealing a metal like Mephiles form* *He limps to the water to look a himself which pleases him*
Mephiles: I'll have my revenge against those rats, but as for now I'll rest in peace with nothing but the sounds of nature
*He turns back to the cave to rest for the night*

*At the castle Sonic and Tails were guided to their rooms to sleep from one of Blaze's servant. The koala opens the door and Sonic and Tails enter*
???: Enjoy
*He closes it behind him. Tails smiles and walks to the bed*
Tails: This is comfy...
*Tails then yawns*
Sonic: You can sleep there Tails, you know me I sleep outside
Tails: You sure?
Sonic: Ya
Tails: Ok
*Tails takes off his shoes and gets into bed. Sonic turns off the light for him*
Sonic: Good night Tails
Tails: Good night Sonic
*Sonic smirks at his little brother and opens the glass doors to close them behind him. He jumps off and dashes to a tree on a hill. Tails drifts off to sleep dreaming about him becoming the greatest mechanic ever and changing the world as he knows it with these machines*

*Blaze was in her room looking out at the sky in her pj's. A pink shirt, a purple pants and soft fluffy white slippers* *She walks outside to her balcony thinking to herself*
Blaze: Mephiles...
*Blaze: Why does it sound so familiar?* *She sighs and the her eyes*
Blaze: I'll just think about it tomorrow
*She was about to go back to bed till she saw a blue flash run pass the castle*
Blaze: Sonic? Why is he running this late at night?
*She turns to her room and looks outside. She breaths in and jumps off her balcony landing on her feet and she runs after Sonic to see where he was going. After some time Sonic stops and sits down in front of a tree. Blaze stops to but hides behind a tree. She looks over to him to see him just staring at the sky. She gets confused and by mistake she breaks a twig which Sonic looks over. Blaze hides her self quick but isn't quick enough for the Blue speedster*
Sonic: Hey Blaze!
*Blaze closes her eyes shut cursing her self for being spotted*
Sonic: Come on out and sit next to me, you don't want to miss the view right?
*Blaze gives up and comes out to walk over to him, he smiles at her. She stands next to him embarrassed for being caught*
Sonic: What's wrong?
*Blaze sits down criss cross*
Blaze: Nothing...
*She doesn't look at him as she said that*
Sonic: Ok? I know there is something wrong though
Blaze: ...
*She turns her head to him*
Blaze: I'm fine
*Sonic stays quiet and nods. Sonic then turns back to the night sky. Blaze sooner or later copy's him*
Blaze: It's beautiful right?
Sonic: Hm?
*He turns to her*
Blaze: The night sky with the stars and everything
Sonic: Oh ya, it is
*Silence emerges between them but the sound of crickets and the wind. Sonic then speaks up*
Sonic: This is why I am a hero
Blaze: ...
Sonic: I protect others from villains and save lives. As my gift, I get to see a gorgeous sky that keeps me calm
*Blaze smiles*
Blaze: I guess that makes the both of us
*Sonic lays back*
Sonic: Ya until I came and showed you how friends can make it better right?
*Blaze giggles a bit*
Blaze: So it would seem hedgehog
*Blaze then thinks of something*
Blaze: But don't forget I was the one who-
*She looks at Sonic who is fast asleep and snores softly. Blaze just shakes her head*
Blaze: And here I though a was the one who was tired
*Without thinking she leans back like Sonic and sleeps next him*
