A boy I thought I knew better than my own name
Becomes a memory, left to fame
Corroded
Exploded
No place to place the blameMetallic eyes and thunderstruck smile
They tell me you've been dead for a while
Am I part of a padded cell dream?
If I call out, will anyone hear me scream?I remember our endless days
Laughing over shared pain
We were summer rain
Until lightning struck us insaneI still miss you, I hear your voice in the birds
Every day, I could recite word for word
Our conversations
Commemorations
Litter the school
Making me the foolYour name is inscribed on monuments
Our friendship bordering continents
Pangea come together
Bending time and space for a foreverThat couldn't exist
Your image was nothing more than mist
Of a delusional mind
Especially when I findThe memorial to a different reality
You died in mortality
Before I was even born
Now I have no chance to mournIf I say your name, they think I'm certifiable
No excuse justifiable
To cry
If you died
In a century different than mine
I'm about to findWhat happens when you step off a bridge so high
It almost seems you can fly
So I
Will tryGood-bye
-Lucky
