SUNNY CAME IN my room at 6:20 am. It was too early to get up. But she said she'll make breakfast if I let her wear my purple shirt, that she'd been eyeing since I got it. Since I was too tired to think, I agreed.

About 20 minutes later, I trudged downstairs to the kitchen. I dropped my bag by the back door and sat down. Sunny put pancakes and eggs in front of me, a tradition for her. We ate and talked up the excitement of the first day, waking me up a bit. After we cleaned up breakfast, we hopped into Sunny's car and went to school.

Williston High was huge. Bigger than any building I had yet to see here. The craziest part was that the back of the school was facing the woods.

At least I'll be close to home. I thought as I stared into the tree line.

Sunny nudged me and we went to find my first class. It was math. From when Sunny had told me, it was evil. Although in my mind, it wasn't as evil as whoever cursed me. Sunny had math first as well, but a different teacher.

Petunia had the same math as me and was already sitting in class. She waved energetically when she saw Sunny and me.

"Good luck," Sunny said before disappearing off to her own math class.

I took a deep breath and walked into the class and introduced myself to the teacher, explaining that I was a transfer to Williston High. The teacher introduced herself as Mrs. Frills. Mrs. Frills was an interesting teacher, but was nice enough to allow me to sit next to Petunia, since I was new and knew her. I was trying to take notes about what was going to be happening while the rest of the class sat and listened.

"Why is nobody taking notes?" I asked Petunia.

"Because she's just recapping what we learned last year briefly," She told me. "And explaining this year's curriculum."

I felt like such an idiot. But realized that maybe, for me, it would be good to have these in the future. After math ended, Petunia and I met up with Sunny, when Petunia told her that I took notes the whole class. Sunny laughed then said that, for me, it was probably a good thing I did.

Sunny and I headed to personal fitness. "Where we work out the whole class with little break," according to Sunny. I didn't bother taking notes since it sounded similar to what the in-trainings did their first day. Run, push-ups, which sounds and looked an awful lot like the pounce position, sit-ups, which looked like one of the fighting moves all in-trainings learn their first moon, and some other human things that looked similar to in-training moves.

"Tomorrow you will get your uniforms," Mr. Kosher announced to the class. "Then after that, every day in suit up. Dismissed."

Since Mr. Kosher let us out early, Sunny and I went in search of my next class. English. What Sunny said is death in a classroom. Which after my experience of it, I couldn't agree more. When I was finally let out, I wanted to die. More so than when I first arrived in the human world. Also when I told Sunny who I had, she laughed and kept apologizing.

"Why are you apologizing again and again?" I asked, when I couldn't figure out why.

"Because I've heard that she is the worst!" Sunny said with much exaggeration. "Everyone who has ever had her, has wanted to kill her, then themselves."

I probably looked pretty scared because when Petunia met with us at lunch, she laughed.

"You must have got Mrs. Vestion," Petunia said with a chuckle. "Have fun this year." I could tell she was being sarcastic.

"Great!" I explained with a sigh. "Now both my friends are laughing at me!"

Which made all three of us burst into laughing fits. When lunch was over, we all had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard.

Fourth was awful since I didn't know anyone. And it was World History. Something that for me, had no purpose. Since I didn't belong in this world. I was only doing this for Sunny's sake. Fifth and sixth both passed with incident. Sunny was in both of those classes, and we just talked the whole time.

Every day that week was the same. By Friday, I had made one friend in my fourth class. A nice girl named Bella. I also had another friend in my third class. Another admirable girl named Jade. Both were really sweet. I couldn't wait to see what this year would bring. Especially since I had heard Jade was popular and hosted parties every weekend.

When Saturday came, Sunny and I laid around and did pretty much nothing all day but chat and eat junk. Neither one of us had any homework, which was a good thing. But we also didn't have any plans.

"It's the same thing every day, every week," Sunny told me. "With your schedule, you won't change any classes in the middle of the year. You have no idea how lucky you are. But it's probably just because your new."

I didn't think so, but I knew better than to disagree with Sunny. That night, I laid in bed for hours before drifting off to sleep. It was nice not to do anything, but I felt bad, for maybe I should've done something to prepare for what was going to be an awful year.
