Epilogue

A FEW MOON'S had passed since Fantasyheart and Legendheart had come back. Legendheart was going around to all the packs and spending some time catching up. Trying to know where they stood on supporting him and Fantasyheart.

"When will you come and take a pup?" Tansysky asked him when he went to visit Valleypack.

"Don't know," Legendheart assured him. "Possibly Soon."

What he wasn't telling the packs was that it would be sooner rather than later. He and Fantasyheart didn't tell them why a pup, but they could guess why.

Fantasyheart would have made the visits with him, but was unable to. She was being confined to their den under the rock in the five pines, she wasn't going to be allowed to attend the next few big moon meetings. 

Legendheart bid Tansysky goodbye and headed to Shadowpack next. He reached Shadowpack and he was greeted by Mist, the first deputy, and Lark, the second deputy. Mist and Lark led Legendheart to Cedarsky.

"Welcome Legendheart," Cedarsky said. "Have you come to collect the pup?"

"Why does everyone keep asking that?" Legendheart exclaimed. "No, but we are hoping sooner rather than later."

"Why?" He inquired. "What are you doing here if not taking your price?"

"I can't tell you why, but I'm just doing the rounds. Fantasyheart would be here," He continued to tell him. "But she is confined to the den."

"Makes sense."

Cedarsky and Legendheart talked until the sun was setting then Legendheart said goodbye and left. Mist and Lark escorted him to the border. With the setting sun, he thought it best to get straight home and head to Sunpack the next morn. 

Legendheart altered his course to head to his and Fantasyheart's den. He reached there a little after sun down, and went directly in. He noticed Fantasyheart laying on the corner, curled up in a ball. Her big belly obvious. They were trying to hide it until the right moment, but after being approached by Pillpool after the last big moon meeting, Fantasyheart decided it best if she stayed in the den or just around so no one saw.

"How are the packs?" She asked when he laid next to her.

"I only had the time to visit Valleypack and Shadowpack," He explained. "They were good." He paused for a moment. "I'll go see Sunpack tomorrow. Are you going to come with me?"

"No, I'm getting closer," Fantasyheart told him. "I can't risk letting anything happen."

Legendheart nodded. "I'll bring Pillpool back with me, if you want."

He felt her nod. "That would be nice." 

After that, Fantasyheart fell asleep, leaving Legendheart alone with his thoughts. He thought about how different their life will be after the pup arrives. And after they collect a pup from each pack. He eventually fell into a deep sleep.
