Chapter 7

Peter's POV

"Look Deniece, I don't want to go to your condo."

"But Peter-"

"I told you, we're over."

"Pete-" I ended the call before she could say anything else.

How many times do I have to tell her that we're over. It's been over a month and yet she's still calling. She needs to move on. She needs to understand that there's nothing more to us. I mean, is it really that hard to let me go?

Well - can't blame her, really. A guy like me is really hard to let go. I'm handsome, hot, rich, tall, romantic, and fantastic in bed. I have it all. Who wouldn't want me?

I walked towards my bed and let myself fall. It's 7 in the morning. That means in a few minutes, someone is going to bring in my breakfast. And that someone, I hope, is Karylle.

A few minutes passed by and I still haven't received my breakfast. I got out of bed and reached for the door, getting impatient. When I opened it, there she was with my food, and a shocked expression.

I, myself, was surprised too because turns out she was already by the door. I leaned on the door frame using my arms, and sort of blocked the entrance.

"Been waiting for you." I smirked and she grimaced. Cute.

Karylle's POV

"Uncle, can Nika do it instead? Or Divine?" Call it begging, I don't care, I just don't want to bring Peter's breakfast. "Please uncle."

Uncle shook his head and handed me the tray. "Nika and Divine have been doing that for the past few days, it's your turn now." He made a move to turn me around before pushing me out the door. "Go now, I'm sure he's waiting for you."

I groaned out loud and stomped my way to Peter's room. I passed two closed doors just like before and stopped in front of his room. On my last encounter with the triplet, I was with Lester and we had just come home from grocery shopping. Bumping into Peter that day was, for some reason, awkward, which is why I'm glad I excused myself early. Let's just hope it won't be awkward this time around.

I looked at his door and observed the tiny cracks and wondered where they came from. With his recklessness, it could have came from anything. I gazed down at the knob and my stomach turned. I lift my hand to knock but it doesn't reach the door.

God am I nervous? This triplet is the only one who makes me feel this way thus far. He's also the only one who irritates me the most, the only one who has a cocky attitude, and the only who I want to avoid seeing.

Maybe I should just knock, leave the tray on the floor then run. That would be better than facing him, but stupid too. I looked around, hoping to see either Nika or Divine, but they were nowhere to be seen. I sighed. Here we go.

I was about to knock but the door suddenly opened. Oh god.

And there goes that smirk again. Ugh.

"Been waiting for you."  He said while leaning on the door frame. He was wearing a fitted tank top with only his boxers. His hair was down and messy, parts of it was long enough to almost cover his eyes.

I secretly rolled my eyes and stretched the tray out to him, but instead of taking it, he went inside and sat on a chair by a small dining table at the end of the wall. I had no choice but to go inside his room and follow him. I placed the tray in front of the smirking triplet, and stepped back to leave only to be stopped by a hand.
