The night has finally arrived! The Reporters Gala was tonight and I was crazy excited. It felt nice to dress up all fancy and such. My evening dress was a dark shade of purple. I hate to sound cocky, but it fit my figure amazingly. I wasn't the thinnest person out there, but the gown complimented perfectly. The lacey sleeves hugged my arms, covered my shoulders and led to the v-neckline and also made my arms appear much longer. My lower upper body was also covered in a darker, silky lace which was accented with tons of bejeweled designs. My favorite part was the bottom half, which consisted of the jewels fading out into the simple, yet elegant, plain soft purple fabric draping over my legs. A slit leading up to my upper thigh was placed on my right leg and showed off my plain sliver pumps. My hair was dropped in some what tight curls and my bangs were pinned to the side with some shiny hair pin I found. A light smokey eye decorated my eyes and my lips were a light tint of pink. I felt beautiful.

I was sitting on my couch as I waited for Liam to show up at my door. We were taking my car, but he said he'd take a cab over to my complex in order to give me more time to get ready. The digital clock placed on the lampstand beside the sofa read, 5:32 pm. I wondered why he planed on leaving so early, but he then gave me a explanation on how we would beat traffic, get the best parking, and all that other blabber. I wasn't really paying attention.

Just as I was about to grab my cell phone to text Liam asking him where the hell he was, a sound of a buzzer erupted through the whole apartment. Finally! I lifted myself off the couch and strutted towards the door. When I opened it, there stood my stunning best friend dressed in a lavishing tuxedo. His short brown hair was slicked back and he held his stunning smile as he casually stood there with his hands in his pockets. Only he could make standing sloppy look attractive.

"Liam! Oh my god. Y-you look amazing!" My voice squealed.

His lips curled in a small smirk and he posed as if he were a model. Shit, I think he could pass for one.

"Why thank you." He straightened his posture again and he examined me up and down. "I shouldn't be the center of attention right now, look at you!"

He extended his arms towards me as if he was presenting a project. My cheeks blushed.

"It's nothing really." I said humbly.

"Nothing? Lis, shut the hell up! You look gorgeous. Purple is really your color. It brings out your black hair and brown eyes."

My smiled widened. "Thank you. Now, c'mon! I can't wait any longer, let's go!" I grabbed my BMW keys that were hanging off the wall and stepped out of my apartment, slamming the door behind me.

"Ready, madam?" Liam spoke in a fancy accent as he bowed and made a hook with his right arm.

I curtsied with my long grown and giggled. "Why of course, kind sir." I played along.

My arm snaked through the hook of his arm and we walked towards our elevator. Pressing the down button of the elevator with his free hand, a bing was heard quite quickly and the doors opened revealing a tall guy dressed in gym shorts and a cut-off, white t-shirt who happened to be my neighbor.

"Hey, Elisabeth. Wow, you look stunning." He said walking past Liam and I.

"Thanks, Harry."

Harry ran a hand through his damp, messy, curly hair as he nudged his head forward at Liam. "Hey, Liam."

Liam returned the gesture, but our arms never unhooked. "What's up, man?"

The exchange in conversation seemed very flat between them, but it worked, I guess. Harry was a trainer at a local gym, so I'm guessing he just got out. The whites around his green eyes held a small bit of red tint, which gave away the feeling that he was tired. I guess I could consider Harry another one of my best friends, not as much as Liam, but he's been there. When I was moving in and Liam wasn't available, Harry would help me move in my things. Very nice and friendly gentleman he was. Also, very attractive.
