Liam was taking forever to come out of the coffee shop while I waited in the car, still blowing off steam from my encounter with Kelsey. The blood flowing through my veins was boiling and my cheeks felt flush with heat. This always happened when I got angry. When someone rallied me up, it was always difficult for me to calm down. I'm a hot headed person and when I'm tempered, there's not turning back.
My phone vibrated with a text message and I grabbed a hold of it from my lap. Just as I was about to check who it was from, the screen flickered black and my carrier's logo flashed, just before shutting off for good. Fucking great. A frustrated groan was released from my mouth as I tossed the stupid thing into the cup holder with a series of profanities being mumbled right after another.
For what seemed like an eternity, my best friend finally popped out of the small cafe with two large cups of coffee in his hands. Placing one cup of the roof of the car, he opened the driver's door and a burst of cool air flooded the warm interior. I took the extra cup from him and he grabbed a hold of the one on the roof and placed it in the available cup holder before getting in his vehicle himself.
"They put that caramel drizzle stuff that you hate, but I don't think you care because you're hungover and you deserve it anyways, so-"
He stopped blubbering when he noticed my aggravated expression while I started out the windshield.
"You okay?"
"No," I huffed as I brought my cup up to my lips and blew into the small slot made for sipping, "I'm pissed,"
From the corner of my eye I could see him rolls his eyes.
"What now?"
"That bitch Louis' with!"
"Kelsey?"
"Yes! After you both exchanged a few words when you walked into the cafe, she came up to the car. I don't even know how she saw me in here,"
"Well, I told her you were with me and you were in the car,"
My air stopped and I glared at my idiotic best friend. What the fuck was he thinking?
"Why would you do that?!"
"She asked if I was alone and I told her!" he hollered, defending his actions, "Why would I lie?"
I placid my steaming coffee in a cup holder that my phone laid in before my anger got the best of me and made me spill it over myself.
"You could've lied for the fact that I slept with her damn boyfriend!"
"Please," he scoffed, "She wont find out,"
My mouth gaped in disbelief. I swear, Liam is the smartest person, but he can be the most stupidest at times.
"You idiot! I'm wearing his clothes! Besides, I already pulled the clueless card and she figured it out,"
He ignored me for a few seconds as he began to pull out of the parking lot. The vehicle reached a stop light and his attention falls back on me.
"So she knows already?" he asks surprised.
"Yup,"
"Damn,"
"That bitch," I mumble.
"Stop fussing," Liam scolds as he continues driving, "She's actually a really nice girl,"
My face overcomes a twisted face, sort of in a disgusted way. Kelsey, nice? Ha, yeah right!
"Nice?! She wouldn't know the meaning of the word nice even if it slapped her right across the face! She's mean, Liam! Mean!"
