I was awoken by the sound of my cell phone buzzing next to my ear as the ringtone erupted into the atmosphere. My heart beat raced as I had been startled by its sudden sound. My bedroom was dark due to the fact that I was the type of person who couldn't sleep unless the room was pitch black. My arm extended upwards as I patted around my head searching for the noisy object. Once I got a hold of it, I brought it to my face. The brightness of the screen made my eyes squint and I let out a small grunt. This was always the worst part of waking up. I hated checking my phone in the morning since my eyes had not yet adjusted to the light, it caused a great discomfort. Soon, my vision went back in it's place and saw that the call comming in was Liam. Before the phone could stop roaring, I quickly tapped the button to answer.

"Mm, hello?" I answered in a groggy voice.

A smooth cackle could be heard from the other end of the line. "Lis? Are you still sleeping?"

His stupid questions were already annoying me. Shit, before my coffee, everything annoys me. I must be fully awake in order for me to not bitch anyone out. No matter how much I like you.

"What do you think?" I snapped.

"You do realize what time it is,right?"

I groaned. Honestly, I don't care. It's Sunday and I dont need to be up by any time. For once, I could relax. Agian, Liam laughed. I'm guessing my reaction to his question gave him the hint that I didn't care for the time.

"Lis, its ten in the morning." He pointed out.

"And your point is? Not everyone is a morning person like you, Liam."

"Just letting you know. Geeze. No need to be pissy."

"Well, you woke me up from sleep for what I bet is a very irrelevant reason." I defended rudely.

He sighed and I could tell by the tone in his voice that he was getting annoyed with my rudeness. "Well, YOU, didn't text me last night letting me know you got home safely. You had me worried this morning."

My grumpy attitude softened a bit. Being the best friend he is, I understood where he was coming from. Knowing my personality, I'd be furious if Liam didn't let me know if he had arrive home okay when I told him to.

"I'm sorry, It's just I'm exhausted and today is a day for me to just relax. Sorry for worrying you."

I could hear the small grin on his face. "It's fine. I understand. I'd be tired, as well, if I was a very well known reporter."

My lips tugged a humble smile. "Shut up."

He chuckled at my response. "Well, I'll let you get back to sleeping. See you later."

"Alright. Bye, Liam."

"Later, Lis."

The line went dead and I dropped the phone from my hand. It flopped to the far edge and my arm went crashing down, meeting the comforter. Now let's see if I can go back to sleep. My body turned on its stomach and I flung the blanket over my head, blocking out everything. Everything went black as I tried to fall back into a slumber.

After the phone call with Liam, I had a difficult time falling back asleep.

"This is useless!" I muttered slamming the blanket off my face in aggravation.

I picked up my cell phone to check the time. 10:54 a.m. Almost an hour since my best friend has called. My thoughts juggled around as I figured out what I was going to do for the rest of the day. My attention turned to the floor beside my bed. There sat my workout shoes. Hmmm, what about a workout? My conscious asked. The gym! It's been a good while since I've been to the gym. Yeah, that's what I'll do. Maybe Liam would want to go, since his ass woke me up. Turning my glance back to the phone, I texted him.
