It was Minori.

The immortal hovered over the other two spirits, looking down at them with fierce determination in those lovely, vivid eyes, still puffy and humid from all those tears, even more sparkly from the Riversphere's reflection... but even though they still showed some sadness, there was no judgement anymore; only acceptance and fearlessness. The light inside her chest glowed brighter than ever, and even more so when she moved closer to her two chosen ones.

Tsukiko and Kiari were baffled to be in the presence of this unexpected arrival. Being wrenched apart in the middle of the process of spiritual fusing felt extremely disorienting and nauseating, so it took the duo a few moments to readjust themselves and notice the one that had cut such an important event short.

"It's... it's you." They said, surprised, once they finished snapping back to reality.

"My only wish is to be heard." Minori stated. "Once I have spoken my peace, you may do whatever you desire. I will not stop you."

The pair glanced at each other. No words were needed anymore; they agreed with each other just by observing their beloved's eyes.

"Go ahead." The lighter soul responded.

The Tale Dimension did not reply right away. She seemed to be struggling with her own words or, more accurately, with the way they should have been expressed. Finally, after a few seconds, the white-haired immortal stood up straight.

"You're... you were right." Minori declared, with a tiny hint of shame in her otherwise clear, firm voice. "Both of you. You were always right. Your drive to protect lives, fueled only by your most sincere love towards them, is made up equally of order and chaos. There is no truer commitment than a love as balanced as that. Your heart is quite an admirable thing, Tsukiko." She smiled.

The two younger souls were very surprised to hear this confession. They suspected their matron was aware of their reasoning, but they didn't expect her to acknowledge and comprehend it so. However, before they could express their emotions in words, the immortal went on, anticipating their question.

"I should not have tried to control you like I did, for out of an imposed order, only chaos comes. Ordo ab chao. The reason I have tried to dissuade you from your actions is simple... Just like my children are bound to other spirits, I am bound to my Queen. She is a being of order, like myself, but possesses the divine gift of true foresight; a power far beyond most beings in existence. She has seen things, and understands the catastrophic nature of the upcoming event better than most of us. Therefore, she has a better idea of what must be done to protect all of our integrities... or so she thinks." Minori added, forebodingly.

"What does that mean?" Tsukiko asked cautiously.

"Even my Queen, with all her grace, is just another immortal trying to help The Last Guardian." The Tale Dimension explained. "She believes she is adding her grain of salt by doing what she does best: supporting the multiverse on the side of order. However, even though that doesn't contradict Kitsune's mission statement directly, it is still a course of action unlike what she- and you- have figured out about true balance. It must come from all of us at the same time and in equal amounts; it will produce a better, more consistent result than if some of us stick completely to order while others side completely with chaos. Only then will we all be united under the banner of love and honor."

"You know, it's nice that you get all this..." Kiari interrupted, crossing her arms and shaking her head. "...but it still doesn't mean we should be concerned about all you higher players and your power games. Now, I can sense you didn't come here just to admit you were wrong, so please get to your point."
