I'm up late in the afternoon today. Its Monday so I'm thinking bout' stopping by my moms spot, see how she doing. Since she's been sick and all, I'm trying to be there for her.
I get dressed in some simple khaki pants and a white, short sleeved, button down, Hollister shirt with my white Air Force 1's and head to the kitchen. As I'm at the sink filling up my glass with tap water, I'm looking out my kitchen window and I notice a girl jogging past my house. She has two dogs on a leash, one being a black Chihuahua and the other, a huge brown and white Siberian Husky. One of my favorite dogs.
I put down my glass and head for the front door. First grabbing my peacoat and setting the alarm, I then head out to my car. By the time I get my car, the girl has stopped at my driveway to tie the shoe lace of her Nike's. I click the unlock button on my car keys which makes a 'cherp' sound. This makes her dogs bark at me.
"Sorry, they don't get out too often." She apologizes as she yanks the dogs leashes and hushes them sharply.
To my surprise, they take on her command and stop barking.
"Oh, its coo'." I reply before going to my drivers side door.
"Well see ya'." She says, giving me a smile before continuing her run with the dogs.
I knod my head before hopping into my car heading to my moms crib.
........
"Hey, moma." I speak as my mom opens the front door of her home and invites me in.
"Hello, hello." She greets me before walking back to wherever she was before I came.
"How you been, moma?" I ask as I close the door behind me and follow her to the kitchen.
"I'm good, what about you? What you doing here?" She asks as she goes into the fridge and pulls out a carton of milk and some hazelnut coffee creamer.
"Moma, I came to see you. Is that okay?" I chuckle.
"Girl, you know you only stop by if you want something." She tells me. "-I ain't got no money." She adds as she continues to make her coffee.
"Dang, Moma that's cold. You know I'on do that." I'm laughing hell'a hard cause she kinda right now that I think about it.
"Mmhm, whatever. Why aren't you at work?" She asks as she returns the milk and cream back to the refrigerator.
"I was gon' be on my way there as soon as I left here, Moma. You tryna' get rid of me or something? Who you got up in here?!" I'm joking.
"Girl, please. Yeah, right." My mom chuckles at my remarks.
"Nah, but I'm finna' go for real though, Moma." I say as I hug her before heading for the door.
"I'll send you some money later on this week." I say as I open the front door.
"Okay, honey." My mom says as she comes behind me to lock the door when I leave.
As I approach my drivers side car door, I look up to see that same girl from earlier jogging down the sidewalk and up towards the house across the street from my mothers.
"-and make sure you wear your seat belt, Jae-Jae." My mom calls out to me from her porch.
I turn around and look at her.
"Man, Moma naw! I'on like them damn seat belts!" I say as I open my car door before looking back at the girl who was now on her porch looking at us.
"Monica Rahjaé Cameal Monroe, if you don't put on that seat belt I'll come over there and-"
"ALRIGHT! Moma, dang. Why you gotta' do me like dat'?!" I snap, feeling embarrassed that she is doing this in front of this fine a*s girl.
I turn around to see the girl on her porch petting her dogs, smiling at us. Suddenly, our eyes meet and I notice her true facial features. She has smooth caramel skin; her lips were a natural light shade of pink; her eyes where a gorgeous deep brown, like dark chocolate and she squints as she watches us. Her body is of a pear shape; big apple booty and thick thighs with lean legs in them tight black leggings she wearing.
The girl then turns and goes into the house with her dogs, leaving me staring at her door. I look at my Moma who is still standing in her front door.
"Aye, Moma, who is that girl living across the street from you?" I ask.
"Who, Aleah?" She responds as if I should already know.
"That's her name? Aleah?" I ask.
"Yeah, I don't see her much. Them folks just moved out here last weekend. They're nice people, they introduced themselves to the neighbors the other day." She informs me.
"Now gone to work!" She adds.
"Alright Moma I'm going." I say as I hop in my ride and turn on my ignition.
I try to put on my seat belt just because my moms still looking but the damn thing is jammed.
This is one of the reasons why I hate seat belts.
I finally get the thing on, pull out of the drive-way and drive off.
I get to work late but it don't matter. I work as an entrepreneur so I'm my own boss. I've managed to open up my own club called "G-Spot". All my life I have had to do things on my own so I'm used to running things.
My club be poppin' though. Its a decent area in the city of East Saint Louis, IL. Mugs come from across the waters just to kick it at my spot, and I don't blame them. I got the best DJ you will ever find because he stay bumping the hottest mix, I have the best bartenders that get you right for the night, I get guess stars in this place to keep it live, I got enough space to have people coming in her all night, plus it stay drama-free because my security and my bouncers don't play NO games with the clowns. I make so much money off this biz I might be set for life.
I pull up to the club and park my car in my reserved parking spot. When I walk into the place I'm greeted by my best friend, Diamond Mitchell, but I call her Mitch. She been in my life since we wear in damn diapers. She has also been helping me run this club and keep things straight in my life.
"Wuddup, Bruh?! You late." She greets me, shaking my hand.
"Naw, yo ugly a*s just early, that's all." I reply.
Mitch isn't ugly though, and she know she isn't. She a stud too but she shorter than I am. She stay just as fresh as me and keep her hair well groomed in some tight braids to the back or some other fly style. She a Jordan shoe fanatic so she never miss a fresh new pair that comes out. She sweet to the ladies, always got a good girl on her arm but stay trying to give me advice on how to keep a girl when she ain't no better than me.
"Never ugly." She says. "Real shyt though, wussup' with that girl you hooked up with at the club last week. She was hella' bad, yo."
I begin to walk towards the back of the club wear my office is while Mitch follows close behind.
"Man, she wunt' on shyt, bruh." I pull out my office door key and unlock the door. "Let me tell you what this b'tch Destiny did at the movies yesterday though-"
As I flick on the light switch in my office I'm struck by a horrible sight.
