The Mageus War all started with a little family--a father, mother and a child. They lived in a narrow alley that was usually filled with people at noon. This family did not live in luxuries but nevertheless were still happy.

The father, a mage, was a blacksmith, he spent most of his time making weapons for mages and humans. He barely had time to spend with his child, but when he did he used to teach him the art of swords, not with a real but a wooden one. The wife had also helped with the business alongside her husband, she helped in polishing the finished pieces and taking orders from customers.

One morning, in the middle of business they noticed their child was missing. The child, being as curious as he was, wandered out on the alley when a group of drunken men were walking by, the child accidentally bumped into one of the men, who reeked of alcohol. The drunk man scrunched his nose and stared at the child's innocent eyes with disgust. Annoyed with the clueless look on the child's face the man brought his hand across the child's face hard, leaving a plumper cheek.

The child started wailing, tears washing down his face, his cries filled the entire alley.
Just then the parents arrived at the scene. The father did not want to complicate the issue, even though he was furious about what they did to his child. He knew this was not a place to fight back. The father and mother bowed their head in apology, but the man did not accept it.

The man smirked. He raised his hand high above his head. The father quick to notice his intention, blocked his face to defend himself, but little did he know the man wasn't aiming for him. The man put a smile on his face as he grabbed the hair of the mother and pushed her down on the floor.

The father was unable to bear his anger anymore, the men had hurt his child and now his wife. He grit his teeth, clenched his fists and punched the drunken man in the face, but the man stood firm, raising one of his eyebrows he laughed, spitting on the ground. He punched the father hard on the face. The father laid powerless on the floor.

The drunken man, continuing to amuse himself, constantly punched the father until he was beaten to a pulp, unsatisfied, he walked towards the mother and the child. The mother, trembling, lifted the child in attempt to run away. But the drunken man grasped her hand. She kicked and screamed but all was in vain.

The father, blood trickling down his face, slumped against the wall, he had no choice but to use his magic. He knew this would mean he would be going against the law of using magic against humans, but he had to protect his family. Unleashing his powers he knocked the man out cold. The mother took this chance to take away her child to back home.

The drunken man's companions were furious at what the father had done to the man and attacked the father yet again, a few of them chased the wife and the child. The father used his magic and flung rocks to try and stop a few of the men.

Soon, people started to fill the streets. They quickly spotted the quarrel and rushed to stop the fight but in the end became a part of it. Mages defended the father and the humans fought alongside the men.

The brawl slowly spread, from the alley to the entire town and finally the whole of Terrania. What started out as a brawl, morphed into a foolish war. Humans always hated the mages and their powers and now they finally had a chance to release their anger.

Buildings were reduced to rubble. People became homeless. Families broke down into tears, but the war carried on.

Finally the humans decided that the only way to peace was to separate themselves, they thought that living together would only cause danger. The mages agreed to this as the humans never wholeheartedly accepted them. They mages gathered together to combine their powers to create a new world. Terrania was no more.
This marked the end of the war, with the birth of two new worlds, Pinrith -the world of humans and Iledrith - the world of mages.
