KYRA
"We're finally here. Pretty amazing isn't it?" says Ada taking in a huge breath. Luke nods "I'll never get tired of this scenery-trees of red, yellow and green surrounding the academy on one side and on the other a blissful lake".
"Yeah it's breathtaking, I've never seen anything like this." I replied.
"Well let's go inside and find the Elder." said Ada leading the way.
The academy was just as beautiful as the outside. A huge hallway filled with the sound of chirping birds and windows at the sides spilling in golden light in the hall. There were three stairwells on either side numbered year one to six.
We walk until we come up to a huge door at the end of the hallway. "This is the Elder's room, Kyra. Are you ready to go in?" asks Ada with serious eyes. I gulp, what would happen if I couldn't pass the test? Or what if I lose control and burn the entire academy down?
"Oh! Just quit the drama, girls" says Luke rolling his eyes as he swing open the huge door and walked inside. "Wait Luke you didn't knock!" whispers Ada grabbing his arm. "Who cares, he's just an old geezer anyways-" he says right before he came to a stop. The elder was staring right at them. Ada and Luke immediately straightened up and quickly bowed in apology.
The elder clears his throat "Hello Ada and Luke, It's been awhile, I see you two are doing well. I hope you don't blame me for what happened to your friend and realize that it had to be done". Their faces grow dark.
He must have been talking about the guy who was banished to Pinrith, Reece, wasn't it? "Um...excuse m-" I say trying to break the glum mood. And yes I get cut off by the old geezer...I mean the Elder.
"Ah yes you must be Kyra, the girl who came from Pinrith, I hope you like it here in Iledrith, a very nice place of course. Well then let's not waste time. You're here for the test right? Let's get it done right away, classes are going to start soon and I'm sure you don't want to miss them." said the elder stroking his gray long beard as he smiles.
"Wow, old geezer is a psychic." whispers Luke. Ada nudges his arm telling him to be quiet.
"How do you know my name and that I'm from Pinrith and I've come to take the test?"
"Oh I know whatever happens in Iledrith, I am the Elder after all" he replied chuckling. I look at him with a questionable look, something tells me this old man is fishy."Ok so here's the mana stones," said the Elder rolling six stones onto the table in front of him.
"These stones were made by our ancestors by concentrating their powers into six stones, based on your elemental energy this stones should react by lighting up. The test is fairly simple, try to concentrate your energy into the mana stones, if done correctly you should be able to see the stones light up. You will pass the test if you manage to light up atleast two stones."
"Wait, so if I manage to light up only one stone you wouldn't let me join?"
"That is indeed correct, Kyra".
"Well that's not fair..." I grumbled to myself
"Nothing in this world is fair. Now let's hurry and get the test over with, come sit down, hover your hands over the stones and try to concentrate your energy into the stones".I gulp. I walk towards the chair and take a seat, staring at the stones in front of me. I place my hands over the stones I take a deep breath. Ok, let's concentrate, Kyra, I know you can do it.
