Chapter 18

~Fionna's POV~

"Uhhh...where am I..."
"Babycakes! You awake!?"
"Yeah...I guess so."
"Good. What. The. Hell. Were. You. Thinking!?!!"
"Don't interfere Cake. You don't know the whole story. If you wanna know why, ask my back stabbing brother and so called best friend."

Cake left me alone and I sighed. I somehow feel, guilty. That was dumb. But I am growing up and they've gotta let me.

"Your Far from grown up Fi-Fi."
"I don't wanna talk right now. Okay??"
"There's no need to talk. Just allow me to."
I sighed.
"Okay Finn. I'm listening."
"Fi, Marchall never meant to do anything to you. He lost his memory that night at the Ball. He couldn't remember his friends or anyone in general. I think Ashley's got something to do with it. That's why when I went to find out what Marchall did to you, I told her to leave. We've been trying to jog his memory but, being far away from you makes it hard. It hurts him."

I blushed a little and felt super stupid now. They were just trying to help. He never back stabbed me and Marchall may still be my friend.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I said and hugged him. I hate being mad at him. I got up and went downstairs to find Cake and Marchall in the kitchen. I stood there, hesitating to say something.

"Oh baby. I made your favorite. It's so good to see you up."
"Uh. Yeah, thanks Cake." I said taking a seat across from Marchall.

"Hey."
"Hi." I replied shyly. I wonder...
"Marchall, I'm sorry I caused so much trouble."
"No worries."
"Marchy, What do you remember??"

~Marchall's POV ~

"Now go get ready...we're going to be late!"
"Late for what? "
"Our date, remember?"
"You were being serious?"
"Dead serious. Now go!"
"Fine, I'm going. Can I at least know where?"
"It's a surprise."
"Fine"

No pain. It's so much easier being around her.

"ALOT bunny. Just a few puzzle pieces missing."
She smiled up at me.

"Great."
"Adventure time???" I asked.
"Adventur-"
"No yah don't." Cake said taking her up stairs. I followed.

"But Caaakkkeee??!"
"No buts. All butt I wanna see is yours. In bed!"
"Fine!" She said crossing her arms. I smirked at her cute angry face. Wow. I haven't done that in a while. I floated over and sat next to her.

"Sooo. I guess we're staying in today?"
"We?"
"Yip. I'm  not leaving you again."
"O-okay." She said and blushed.

We sat in bed all day and watched movies. Fi fell asleep and didn't take long before I followed.

~Fionna's POV~

I woke up at about 10 o' clock and stretched. Marchall was still asleep and I giggled at his cute sleeping form. It felt good not being angry anymore. He was facing the other side and I decided to wake him. I smiled deviously, then crawled his way. When I wanted to jump on him, turned around and frightened me. We just laughed.

"Nice try Fi."

Fi. I missed that.

"What? Is there something on my face??" He asked, interrupting my thoughts.

"Nope. Just thinking."
"Okay. So, you feeling better?"
"Yip. Let's go. I haven't adventured since forever!"
"Ok. You get dressed. I'll go freshen up too."

We freshened up and met again downstairs. Cake went back home but left a note on the counter.

Dear babycakes,

Hope you feel better. Left you some pancakes and strawberries for paste face.

Love, Cake

Auw. She didn't have to but I love her though.
"Cake left you some strawberries." I say taking them out of the fridge.
"Thanks. "

We finished our breakfast and were off! First, we went pixie straggling. Then we went to save the cloud people from a dragon and after that we went to Treetrunks for some apple pie. It was pretty amazing. Where's Finn though??

~Finn's POV~

Whew. Right on time you stupid illness. I just couldn't tell her. Things are finally looking up for her, and I just want the best for her. Marchall's got this. He can make her happy. The car and everything was just farewell gifts. Oh well.

"Finn. Are you sure we shouldn't let any family members know?" Dr. Prince asked.
"I'm sure doc. It's fine."
"Ok. Get some rest."

~Fionna's POV~

No. No. No. No!!! He can't be! It can't. I burst through the hospital doors with Marchall not too far behind me.

"Where is he!?!"
Dr. Ice cream just pointed to the door at the end of the hall. I ran to the door and opened it, revealing my brother. I teared up as soon as I saw him.

"Finn. No. Why didn't you tell me... I can fix this..." I said wiping away my tears, trying to convince myself.

"Fi-Fi you can't."
"Yes I can Finn. I'll prove it!" I yelled and stormed out of the room. I knew there had to be a way, and I knew that if anyone knew the solution, it would be Bubba. He could help.
